GAGA X RONSON. Please.

It's not hard to figure out that music is moving in the direction of retro sound. Psych-rock and vapour wave are slowly growing subcultures in music and have some great potential for the next few years.'Uptown Funk', a song I didn't actually like too much, gave Mark Ronson his biggest worldwide hit, but his album 'Uptown Special' went pretty unnoticed. Failed to chart high and release successful singles after the big first one, his album seems to be exhausted of popularity. But Jesus. The album is incredibly fresh without exaggeration. No doubt if it had been released 30 years ago, his songs would be classics. Anyways, I've been going back through his work, and turns out he's the genius producer behind Winehouse's 'Back to Black' record, which is, in my opinion, one of the best albums in decades. His style is funk-rock-pop sort of mid-2000s, while sticking to a jazzy side. Gaga and him need to make music now. The ultimate combination. With her icon status and his production, it wouldn't be hard to think music would really be changed, something on par with the introduction of the Nirvana or Madonna. I want this collaboration, Gaga. Soon.

Some of his work:

(This one's sped up due to copyright but still maintaining how good the production of this song is.) Listen here at normal speed, because this is one of his best ever and strangely unknown. I love the echoey guitar chords at the end of the song. http://yourlisten.com/immagini/mark-ronson-in-case-of-fire

So, what are your thoughts. Who'd you choose to be a main producer on one of Gaga's future albums?

I think it would be interesting if he worked with Gaga on a few songs. He is extremely talented and has worked with all sorts of artists.

He has actually been in the studio with Gaga before. They went out clubbing in London and she suggested her vocal coach to him.

I think it would be great if they worked together. I've also been thinking of this for a while

He is the reason why Gaga did Chillin with Wale. Mark Ronson personally asked her to do it and he was in the studio with her when she recorded her parts in London. Wale was signed on Mark Ronson's record label.

He is talented and a collab would def be interesting!

YAS! At this point in Gaga's career, I think it's safe to say that she can virtually dominate any genre--musically AND vocally. I think funk should be next. :hunty:
