I've not seen Faust! Did he direct it too?

Yes, the 1926 version. The first half is sooo spooky, but then it shifts into some fantasy movie... I still liked it, but I was disappointed because it got rid of the spooky mood that drew me in during the first hour. Of course, the score of the version I watched set the mood. I didn't really like the score of the version on Netflix. Spooky music is always necessary in horror movies, but it's essential to silent horror movies. Also, this movie contains one of my favorite shots in film; Mephisto standing over the town suffering from a plague he gave them.

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.

Consider it Bookmarked! Not enough atmosphere in a lot of horror movies these days. I am intrigued.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
