Honestly at this point, what he said and the mood he was in, in our interview last year, and this sudden burst of weirdness are two separate things. 

 

 

He's a fake. And it's pretty clear from what Gaga has said in the past that he is the one who s-xually assaulted her. GagaDaily should never have done an interview with him.  He makes me sick.

You are entitled to feel sick if you want to, no one can argue with that.

But I can respond with this:

How can we learn things unless we ask questions? 

As a journalist and a person who is a huge and devoted fan of Gaga, I meant NO harm in doing that interview. You go back and read that interview, I walked an absolute tightrope that ran the gamut of balancing the fanbase, helping a new band get seen, and bridging a gap filled with hate that seems to come from no definable printed source. Just rumours and gut feelings about what this fanbase thinks Gaga might feel, not what she ever come out and said straight out. 

That interview had to balance:

1. not discussing legal issues

2. not pissing off any parties involved, least of all Gaga or this fanbase

3. satisfying rabid music-hungry Gaga fans with endless questions for Rob about his work with Gaga, his new band, and his past works with other famous artists

4. and, last but NOT least, doing my level best to practice "Stop The Drama, Start The Music." as Gaga herself had inspired me years ago to do. 

We will never know the truth about what happened between them. It's none of our business. 

But this whole mess brings out nothing but the worst in us as people, as a fanbase. Look at us. We are at each other's throats about who is a real fan and who is a traitor for trying to see a different viewpoint, or see things in a more circumspect light.

Sure I want to hear new (and old!) music, but I want them to come to a peaceable agreement about how it's heard. I want no collateral damage. I want some semblance of civility, respect, peace, dignity. 

Don't ever say we were wrong to ask questions, to take the interview, to learn. 

I did my best, believe it or not, for you. For the fanbase, for GagaDaily, for any stranger who read that article. 

What happens now, I have no idea, but I am glad I did it, and I will challenge anyone who dares to drag our site's name through the mud for what I chose to do as a journalist.

You want to blame someone, blame me for taking the job and trying to make the best I possibly could with it.

Don't blame GagaDaily as a website.

And the interview he gave to The Blade that monstermom posted in this thread....and the shady **** he said during his little DJ session in NYC that a couple of GGD members attended...and some shady comment about Gaga and Tony...and the fact that he sued Gaga in the first place...

There aren't just two situations to consider. Putting aside a strong suspicion of abuse, there still remains a pattern of stabbing Gaga in the back any chance he gets...unless he is pulling his "Mr. Nice Guy" act for you or trying to with fans...most of whom have now caught on to his calculated personality. 

He gave you a good interview and sucked up to you and tried to with Gaga fans in general, but the majority can see he is a fake, don't believe or trust him, and don't want him to be around Gaga ever again!
