I wish there wasn't labels like gay or straight. In my opinion no one is 100% gay or straight and we should all accept that some people like the opposite s-x more and they can Stan for pop artists and support gay rights on social media as well as people that prefer the same s-x can live in the middle of the country, have kids, live a rugged lifestyle, go to church, etc

You know, as a straight person, I find it doesn't make me less secure. I really don't think most of the straight guys I know on here feel less secure, they probably just don't tell many people in their real day to day lives.

Same way, I bet if you're gay but love football and hockey you don't go flaunting your love of sports to all your gay friends. They'd either be bored or alienated.

I could imagine and straight boy and a gay boy who love pro sports and pop music equally. But the straight one knows sports is a better way to bond with his buddies, while the other flaunts his love of Gaga with his gay friends.

I find it offensive that every GGD member needs to defend their straightness, its as if their almost ashamed to be apart of a predominantly gay community, in fear that they will be seen as gay themselves.

I don't think this applies to the fanbase on this website per say... but in general they are and that's the problem :lmao: Plenty of people have said the  obvious that music taste =/= s-xual orientation, but not enough people are pointing out the problematic nature of the problem in the first place :smh:

Like yeah, liking an artist who has predominantly LGBT fans may make people THINK you are gay, but like what even? :wtf: What does that say about our progress  when we still think being equated with being gay is a social death sentence :saladga: I'd rather have someone be thought of gay and not find that a personal insult on their "manlihood" or "masculinity" tbh.

It says a lot about the attitude some straight men seem to have about homos-xuality (and to a minor extent on femininity and womenn)  :noparty:

私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

I don't think the problem is about homos-xuality and gay people but about who you are.

I mean if you're straight then you're straight, it can be annoying to be called gay. It's like if you say to a Canadian : "Oh you're an American" ... no he's a Canadian, that's all. It's exactly like a trans who want to be called a female : if you call her a male then she's pissed off.

Thus, the issue is not to be called a gay but is to not be considered for who you truly are regardless of how you act or the music you listen.

It can even be considered as bullying when @Ladey Gagz calls you gay :wtf:

Can you please change the name of this thread to,  "Does Loving Gaga Make You Gay or Less of a Man? "

I keep seeing the original title in Hot Gaga Topics and it's really bugging me. :rip:

Straight people are afraid to openly like Gaga because they don't want to be ridiculed or labelled "gay" or "f*ggy". I only know a handful of straight guys that like Gaga openly.

Does loving Rap make you a thug or less of a white person? Does loving Country make you a redneck?

Seems all music carries stereotypes. Most of what is considered "gay music" is also popular with girls, and I think some macho boys have a problem identifying with a women as their hero or idol. Because s-xism.

the same could be said about gay men only identifying with a woman as their idol
