I'm not sure I agree with that... but I can see how blaming the latino's for the immigration problem is inaccurate.  There are a lot of east European and Asian immigrants in the U.S. illegally too.   The latino's make up the largest portion however somewhere around 11 to 12 million was the last estimate I remember reading. 

Also,  California's population diversity now has the Latino community as the largest. Considering the mass number of people crossing into the U.S. from Mexico its easier to point them out.

My guess is that when 2016 campaigns begin to kick into gear, he'll rise! No one is really that concerned atm. Even I, someone who is VERY active politically, haven't taken any polls.
