shes not straining it, it just sounds strained. Tired, damaged.

She gets a catch in her throat more and more as this tour progresses and she struggles to sing songs like bang bang and lush life with any kind of ease. She seems to be struggling and if you watch and listen, you can hear it.

I've heard other people comment on that but I haven't watched a video yet where she sounds tired or like her voice is damaged.  

The videos I've watched are all amazing!  She probably just needs to rest her voice for a few days.

Or it may be just the poor quality of the sound from these phone devices that makes some people hear what they want to believe.

The next competition I could see is Adele vs Rihanna. 

Rihanna atm can only compete with Britney or Christina..  Her albums hardly sell even when she has massive hits to support them.Now that the massive hits aren't here I don't see her selling more than 1-1,5m

She's reworking her album, I'm pretty sure her label wants more Rihanna hits... But I agree judging what she has released until now, she'll probably sell less than expected...

Even if Rihanna sells as expected, she's not going to be Adele's competition. I don't know who would be? Taylor, I guess...and that's really it.

no. Yu canclearcan clearly hear her voice scratchiscratching ad ito has zero to do with audo quality  when she has to completely miss a note because  of it.

That's what I was thinking, too, cuz I'm not hearing what other people claim to hear regarding Gaga's "strained" vocals.  To me she sounds as amazing as always.
