Engagement. People already spend a ton of time on Facebook — over 40 minutes a day in the US — but those numbers would dramatically increase if your musical existence was tied in any meaningful way to the service. One source suggested that Facebook's video platform may play a role in its plans, as The Information first reported. The company wants to do something "unique" according to sources, but how that will manifest is yet to be determined.Sources were quick to stress that discussions between Facebook and the labels are still in the very early stages, and nothing has been made final.
