Her covers, both from jazz and rock songs, have been so much applauded that I'm afraid that acclaim will surpass her own songs. And she'll probably be comfortable with it. It's good for her to be applauded for her voice, no doubt about that! After all, isn't that what she's always wanted? But a music artist, and specially LADY GAGA, is (or used to be) so much more than that. I'm truly afraid that, in 20 years, she'll be the greatest covers' singer ever, rather than having her own repertoire. She can cover between albums and for tributes. That's a legitimate concern to have, I suppose, but that will never happen and here's why. Lady Gaga is a songwriter who easily gets inspired so why would she not feel motivated to record her own songs and release them? The only way she would become a covers singer is if she lost her inspiration and never wrote another song again. Until that happens, I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you.
