She is getting slammed in online comments for this, they're calling her greedy, spoiled, a control freak...Diva antics like this do Taylor no favours and more and more people are waking up to her real personality and how she's all about the money. I just heard about an interview that she did where she noticed paparazzi were taking pictures of her in her bikini, so she immediately took some herself and posted them to Instagram so that the value of the pap's shots would go down instantly. And that a young fan spoke on Twitter about having legal action brought against her after she sent her fan mail consisting of a hairbow with a photo of Taylor's face on it.

Conclusion: Taylor has a big storm coming. I told you this era could be the kiss of death for her. She's become too big, too successful, too invincible. When an artist gets like that, the downfall is usually swift (no pun intended) and brutal straight after the mega success. We've seen it happen to Madonna, Mariah, Britney, Gaga...we're currently seeing the beginnings of it with the likes of Katy and Rihanna...what goes up must come down and the public get bored so quickly these days. The nit-picking has begun and already she's showing signs of the public's love for her starting to wane. I have never believed Taylor's goody two shoes act for one second and have been baffled as to why so many people like her, even after all this stuff has come out. She really is like her lyrics: "Darling, I'm a nightmare dressed as a daydream."

Comparing apples (no pun intended :derpga: ) and oranges in my opinion

 You're a silver mod, congrats Haroon :hi5:get out the big balloooons

OT: Strawberry Blond that's a really strong point, I think it pretty much sums up the GP reaction to pop girls.

What a large, but unsurprising, overreaction. If anything the music industry is coming out in droves to praise her and Apple admitting she was right is just giving her even more positive press. Comment sections are always negative, they're indicative of nothing. She has a huge team, if the story about the legal action on a fan is true she most likely has no idea about it, she doesn't handle any of that but of course you'd place that squarely on her. She's got no storm coming at least not now, especially once she adds 1989 to Apples streaming service and shows she has no issue with streaming when done correctly. Her album continues to be top 3, she continues to sell out stadiums, and her singles continue to reach new chart highs, she's perfectly fine right now.

I'm not over-reacting, I'm being realistic. Gaga's downfall from BTW-AP taught me so much about how the public treat popstars. I did the research and noticed patterns. Your biggest success followed by your biggest flop isn't uncommon. The public's attention span is smaller than ever these days and Taylor is one of the lucky ones who didn't fade away after 1-2 albums but many female popstars are not as lucky and even the ones who do stay on top inevitably fall. Her fans attitudes this era have been distinctly annoying, the most annoying I've ever witnessed, worse gloating than when Gaga, Katy, Rihanna and Beyonce were on top combined. Even those fans who were quite nice around GGD have started to become noticeably smug, not the kind of attitude that is welcome on a forum dedicated to another artist. And I think this is all the more indicative that Taylor's downfall is coming because the public can only stomach fans like this for so long. It makes me want to throw up, quite frankly, to see all the praise Taylor is getting recently from big companies and names but they don't matter. They're the 1%. The public is the 99% and it's them who actually buy the music, so yes, every public reaction matters and should be of paramount importance. If the public start to fall out of love with her, her sales will suffer and I don't think praise from big names will console her then. Just remember how her sales took a big dip after Fearless and she had to claw it back over time. It can and will happen again, likely much worse now that she's out-peaking her biggest success. An artist can only usually have 1 or 2 peaks in their career before sales inevitably hit a brick wall then slide.

I thought Gaga's success would never end and I was gulliable about that. I have faith in her that she'll come back with improved sales at least but I'm so much more savvy about how the industry works now and how no one can stay on top forever. Taylor fans would do well to come to the same realisation or they're in for a big disappointment further down the line.

Of course she can't stay big forever, but she's not on the brink of disaster. There's over 300 million people in America, 100 negative comments on a Yahoo article isn't representative. Her next album will definitely be lower in success but nothing gargantuan, maybe back to Red's success, certainly no ARTPOP. And the smugness by Gaga fans during the heights of TFM, or Beyoncé during the surprise release, make Taylor stans look like nothing :toofunny:  Gaga had a chance to keep her mega success going, but she purposely decided to alienate.

I really didn't think Taylor was THIS protective of her image, like sis, do you need the extra money from selling photographs?

trust me the Taylor mega praise can only go on for so long... Everything she does makes headlines and it gets annoying. The general public never likes a celebrity with mega success for long... Once they go up suddenly the public turns on them and then they drop back down, sometimes very hard. It's all a domino effect. Human nature is inherently jealous, and the GP makes sure that nobody stays too popular for too long
