I understand her point, and this is not her being greedy. She just thinks it's pretty unfair because Apple earns a lot of money but they won't pay the labels, artists, and their respective teams for 3 months. But she must understand that Apple will also not be getting money during the 3-month free trial.

It is fair for Taylor to bring this up, if I work for months without getting paid I can't pay my mortgage.

You can call her greedy but it is what it is. We all got bills to pay and I doubt any of you would wanna work for months without a pay cheque meanwhile the company turns around and boasts about their success and how inovative they are. They would be nowhere with that streaming service if it wasn't for the artists and everyone involved that have given you the joy of that album or song. For Apple to turn around and say "thank you and now **** off" is repulsive!

I'd have considered those 3 months a small investment into something that could worked out quite well for her, but I respect her choice and her views on streaming since I'm not that much of a fan myself.

Wasn't Apple the richest company on the planet? It's really greedy of them to refuse to pay. And even if they don't receive any money for subscriptions during this trial they still be using the artists' products (their songs) and it's not fair to ask that for free. How is this 3-month thing without paying artists even legal? Unless Apple has made individual contracts with all the labels...

I totally support Taylor on this one. And another thing - Apple intentionally won't bring their new app to Android until the end of the trial because they see a competitor in the face of Google Play Music. And Google is not a company to f**k with. 

As much as I like Apple, the way they're handling the three month trial is a disaster for small artists

I get her point. Although I it's disappointing that up and coming artists seem to be relying on youtube/streaming/internet in general to "make it". Not everything is about money, sometimes you just need to get your music out there before you start earning $$.

She is just destroying her image imo. In every site I checked the comments are 90% negative..She should start appriciating the fact that she is huge at the moment instead of trying to earn more money .

That's true but the same argument could be used for apple, they should consider the 3 months free (which is entirely their decision) a small investment, especially when they are the richer entity.
