RBNLM 1,647
"Worldwide, the three largest branches of Christianity are the Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church and the various denominations of Protestantism. The Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox patriarchates split from one another in the schism of the 11th century; Protestantism came into existence in the Reformation of the 16th century, splitting from the Roman Catholic Church.[23]"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity all under the umbrela of christianity but just a different sect, well the first sect i think they are christian cause they all believe in Jesus but still different religions
Luiz 4,253
they are christian cause they all believe in Jesus but still different religionsso it is kinda the center of christianity i mean the pope is like the only christian leader who makes it on to the front pages of world news websites and newspapers on a regular basis.unless there is someone else i forgot about "With more than 1.1 billion baptized members, the Catholic Church is the largest churchrepresenting over half of all Christians and one sixth of the world's population.[265][266][267]" I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it. MahoganySnitch 67
so it is kinda the center of christianity i mean the pope is like the only christian leader who makes it on to the front pages of world news websites and newspapers on a regular basis.unless there is someone else i forgot about "With more than 1.1 billion baptized members, the Catholic Church is the largest churchrepresenting over half of all Christians and one sixth of the world's population.[265][266][267]"I think this is the case because Catholicism is built on the idea that salvation is found through the church, while Protestantism is built on the idea of a more personal connection with Jesus without the middleman (thus why the Protestant Reformation happened, to get rid of this middleman that was becoming more and more corrupt). So these are all Christians because they believe in the holy Trinity and that Jesus was resurrected, but then the beliefs branch out.
