If songs were alive, I think this song would have been thrown on the trash can by little monsters while they surround the song yelling "You're pathetic". The song is so beautiful and poetic. I don't understand the hate for it. Not many songs out there are about unicorns and the melodies of this song is so beautiful, ethereal and magical. It almost has a springsteen vibe to it. I'm sad she never performed it outside of the tour. I didn't like the performance of it during the btw ball because it was short and the unicorn looked more like a cheap high school prop used for a medieval play. Fusel 1,109 Posted June 17, 2015 Share Posted June 17, 2015 It's easily one of her best songs imo & I wouldn't change a thing (except hear the part that she decided to cut, I think it was during some radio interview that she played a bit of the acapella demo on her mobile). I also like that its second title is Road to Love, cause sometimes Highway Unicorn can sound a bit cheesy.
