Cheek to Cheek Attire Question

Dilemma, this probably sounds superficial but yeah hear me out

I have this dress I wanted to wear to the cheek to cheek show next week, but now a week prior I decided that it's wayyyyyy too itchy because of the sequins, and I'd be uncomfortable all night. Imagine hundreds of tiny little plastic shards scraping your body all night. No thanks.

ANYWAY: my question is, to those who went to the tour already, what did you wear? Were you overly dressed up like cocktail party like I wanted to or dressed a bit more casual? What did others wear that you saw?

I wanted to wear as a plan b a more casual dress (like a cotton skater dress with a leopard dress part) but I'm afraid it's not dressy enough? I don't want to show up like its a super formal event (bc it's not really, it's still a show) but also don't want to look like I'm going to a rock show or something like that.

if anyone could help, that'll be great. I know there's bigger problems in the world but I figured I'd ask

Yeah. It's this exact dress but I was going to dress it up a bit

i mean in the end I can wear what I want, I just don't want to look out of place

Definitely don't wear anything uncomfortable. You will regret it all night. Try something simple but of nice material. A simple dress or one piece. Maybe one color. Dress it up a bit with jewelry pieces (you can take them off later if you feel it's too much).

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

That's cute but maybe the bottom hem is too short?

Maybe you could wear something under your "itchy" dress if you can hide it

I tried, but it's a halter dress so anything I wear underneath shows, it's a pain. Thanks for the suggestion :)

i personally haven't attended but the younger people from what I've seen wear semi formal clothing. Of course, that's based on what I see on Twitter and Instagram.

You can add jewelry, high heels and why not a scarf. It would be both casual but classy

I know that some fans have been wearing very formal attire to the shows, but my show is in Atlanta in July and will be OUTDOORS, so you can bet I'm not wearing anything formal! I'm probably going to go with a nice polo shirt and a nice pair of shorts.

I think a comfy dress with a scarf and some nice jewelry would be perfect!

Perfect Celebrity

I went to the Woodlands (Houston) show back in April and it was quite hot and humid so I decided against a suit and tie. That was a great decision because there were not very many people in that kind of attire. At least men anyway, a lot of women had nice, cute dresses on. I'm actually very happy about what I wore and it wasn't that bad. I wore a black leather Cheek to Cheek jacket, black pants, and these jazz shoes I found on Amazon. The shoes got a lot of attention because they were tall, along with my jacket. I got so many compliments on my jacket! Let me find a picture and I'll post it.

Maybe you can wear a tube top underneath so it won't be as itchy??

I dressed casual...jeans...shirt...and leather jacket...not like I'm showing up in a tux or suit...it's not that serious imo :laughga:
