​I love the 2009 performance but her voice doesn't have the power it has now + she basically changed the song's melody to the one of Speechless

I prefer 2009 one a bit more, because the vocals sound better to me, I would say they are more organic, or as you say heavy, they sound natural and it is Gaga's typical voice back then, less high than she lately proofed to be able to do so.

 

Today's version was absolutely stunning and amazing too. Her look is beautiful and she seems healthier and happer as a human being than back in 2009.

 

 

Both covers are amazing, it just depends on what you prefer to listen to, perfect high pitched vocals or Gaga's more natural raw voice from back then.
