Morphine Prince 106,208
"I remember telling her I admire women in a different way," she tells Paper Magazine in a new interview. "And she asked me what that meant. And I said, I love them. I love them like I love boys."Miley says she considers Tish and her famous dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, "conservative-ass motherf---ers," so her announcement was not taken lightly."And it was so hard for her to understand," Miley continues. "She didn't want me to be judged and she didn't want me to go to hell. But she believes in me more than she believes in any god. I just asked for her to accept me. And she has."Miley, who was once engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth and dated Patrick Schwarzenegger until May, shared last month that her romantic relationships have included women as well as men.The "Wrecking Ball" singer tells Paper that she's had romances just as notable with women as those she's had with her famous boyfriends."I've had that," she says. "But people never really looked at it, and I never brought it into the spotlight."Now, Miley's feelings about gender and s-xuality are, as the magazine describes, "fluid.""I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn't involve an animal and everyone is of age. Everything that's legal, I'm down with. Yo, I'm down with any adult — anyone over the age of 18 who is down to love me," she shares. "I don't relate to being boy or girl, and I don't have to have my partner relate to boy or girl."And those aren't empty words. In May, Miley launched the Happy Hippie Foundation, an organization to help LGBT and homeless youth. "As long as you're not hurting anyone, your choices are your choices," she says.Source: https://celebrity.yahoo.com/blogs/celeb-news/miley-cyrus--i-told-my-mom-i-love-women-at-14-000638339.html

Oscar 1,031
She's a lot like Gaga in many ways. I don't normally compare popstars but Miley is the popstar that's closest to Gaga (Miley has talent, controversy, is LGBT, creative, experimental, shocking, authentic, etc) and it's weird that the media would rather put Gaga against someone like Katy or Taylor.I guess I shouldn't try and mix Gaga in this though. This thread is about Miley. She's doing a lot of good to break the public image of what it means to be gay or to be male or female. Most people don't consider it's fluidity. SKANK 14,288
"I'm into everything that doesn't involve an animal" Miley said, in an interview for a magazine that features her naked and spooning a pig on the cover. I don't get why it's moral to eat a pig's cooked flesh and not it's pûssy. So, I just do neither. But I like that Miley is being this androgynous, glittery, Mid-Summernight Dream, hoe. I'd love to see Laura Jane Grace on Miley's next record.
moonboywow 3,136
What about the pronouns? Do they prefer "they"....or?
Guest
I really admire her. She's so brave for breaking free and redifing norms. Be it armpit hair on women, the support of homeless people (especially LGBTQ people), her Happy Hippie charity or her coming out - people underestimate her and make her seem like she's not intelligent. What about the pronouns? Do they prefer "they"....or? She didn't specify, so "her" is probably alright.

LoveandMagic 1,731
What a nice interview. Thanks for sharing Miley."As long as you're not hurting anyone, your choices are your choices," I like this quote. Most of my friends know I'm Bi but my family. They too are very conservative. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
