The fact is that Europeans (especially Western Europeans) have no single clue how it is to be under current attack and being under threat all the time to get killed by some crazy terrorist. That's why so many people don't and don't even try to understand the situation in Israel. :smh:

Do most of the Israelis know how it is for Palestinians in checkpoints, with armed trigger-happy soldiers walking down their street, protecting only one race and shooting at the other? Do they really know how it is to live in Gaza, to be 9 years old and already survivor of 3 wars with half of your family under the ground? Do they?

I don't think so.

But in my mind this applies more to Palestine/Gaza than it does to Israel. Except for that Israel isn't one big terrorist, they're just some ultranationalists that try to claim land with invalid arguments ('we' lived here 2000 years ago, palestine hasn't ever existed, bombing hospitals and schools is our way of self-defense, we're a better country so we deserve it more and of course STILL occupying new land).

You should listen to The Greens more tbh.

I was talking about Europeans and not about about Israelis in my last post.

It's a fact that most Euros taking one side and see everything black and white when you can't in that conflicted situation. It's easy to target Israel (especially when there is still anti-semitism in Europe). Not saying that Israels government shouldn't be criticized but the one sided view of so many Europeans bugs me so hard.

I don't like Netanyahu, but it's unfair to make Israel look like the ultimate evil who loves to attack Palestine.

Like imagine Luxemburg suddenly attacks Netherlands, do you really think that the Dutch government wouldn't do anything ? Do you really think that the Dutch government would allow that?

You sound like a extreme right wing person with your arguments in that post.

68% of the Israelis do support a two state solution. The majority even oppose the settlements.  Hamas hiding behind hospitals and schools is not a new thing as well.

If most Israelis would know and care about what it's like to be a Palestinian child in West Bank or Gaza, they would want to put Israel by themselves on this black list.

This is about blind patriotism and nationalism. I don't think most Europeans are on Palestinian side, I see so many comments on various news sites, from religious Christians who support Israel no matter what because of the Bible to other islamophobes who think Israel should just nuke Palestinians because of their religion and they see Jews closer to Europeans anyway.

I actually sound more like a pacifist than a neo-nazi. Self-defense doesn't require attacking the opponent.

If Luxembourg invaded the Netherlands, my country would probably bomb them (which I would disagree with). You can do way more by forcing economic sanctions on them and if you want to defend your own citizens you should keep it at that - defending your own citizens.

No people is superior, and you must understand that everybody, both sides, think they're the reasonable ones. You can't kill people (who you aren't sure if they are actually attacking you), it's way better to put someone in jail and re-educate that person.

Then you live in a different Europe than I do. The blind patriotism and nationalism can be stated on palestine side as well btw.

Religious Christians are not the norm anymore in Western Europe, so that's not a really an argument in my opinion.

No, believe me Neo-nazis have the same arguments. That's makes them really close to some leftist groups, which is scary.

And defending their citizens is exactly what Israel does.

I don't think that group A is superior to group B btw.

 then I'm misinformed. I thought far right extremists usually prefer fighting (destroy the enemy because we're better!) over diplomacy and self-defense?

I understand that you try to look at it without bias, but really, Israel could've prevented many deaths had they been more careful (look at the report a few months ago with soldiers interviewed).

In Germany they ganged up with leftist groups on a demonstration against Israel :smh:

Well, the first thing that would have prevented many death would be the stop of provocation of Hamas.

But for very different reasons. Right wing extremists out of anti-semitism (who the hell still hates jews though..?l and left-wing morally (eventhough many communists are also anti-semites).

And Hamas stopped their provocation last year, but another, more extreme terrorist-group started now. And Israel bombs Hamas (probably a misunderstanding?).

I don't think so.

That's exactly the problem. Both sides are not emphatic towards each other at all, Including Palestinians. But this has nothing to do with Europeans/Americans/anyone other then Israelis or Palestinians as they are not a part of this conflict.

But Israel was sanctioning Gaza, and then you Euro-leftist came at us saying we made Gaza an open prison and that Israel should #FreeGaza  Then we moved into banning only materials that could be used to create rockets that are fired at us constantly for 15 years now and still we're the bad guys for causing the Palestinians to pay more for building their houses.

You're judging this conflict in a typical Western POV and that's fine, but that's not Euro that's middle east. Hamas doesn't care about Gaza or about its citizens, it could go on & on and make them even more miserable because it has you guys blaming Israel.

We don't like wars, we are fun and life-loving nation. We prefer to raise families and work and party, and most of us really do prefer peace over the current situation. Why do you think we haven't tried anything else? This conflict started like 100 years ago. :crossed:

Late 1920's till early 1940's Britian and France and Germany were in recovery from WWI.  Many of their colonial entities, India , Africa and the Middle East began to grow. More independent ...  Some revolted ... Middle Eastern countries formed around Islamic principles and laws.   Some of which nationalized private property.   Jewish people amongst others were effectively stripped of their property.    Loyal citizens hence were gifted much of the newly 'available' land.   Since there was no segregation , a lot of the areas were checker board as to who had what until the new laws unified everything as Islamic.

The formation of Israel broke these laws and all the surrounding Arab leaders declared war....nothing has changed since 1947 in this regard....Israel has gradually increased, annexed or simply took over surround land from what the British originally outlined..

who owns what?     Depends and your point of view.

like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true
