Mythic Mist 0
Wasn't her era so successful? Why is she so butthurt by it. It's not like she faced media scrutiny, people thinking it was cool to dislike her, radios not playing her music, being cut off early by her label due to a flopped single, and having to cancel her whole tour due to an injury. :tea:

Awk It's not that she doesn't have anything to write about, he's saying why does she look like she's trying to destroy and distance herself from her TD era when it was so good for her. Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~
MikelAS 239
Wait, "Roar" as in roar of a crowd? "And the crowd roared!" Eh, sounds like an "Applause" ripoff. Kind of hilariously coincidental that they waited until "Applause" was announced to come out with this announcement.

grovesgirl 0
Love them both, but definitely prefer Gaga over Katy any day of the week. I'm excited for Roar as much as I am for Applause. :3 I mean, they're to the 2000s what Britney and Christina were to the 1990s, what Madonna and Michael were to the 80s, etc. They're the ones that are pushing the industry forward, and then people like Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Beyonce, Kesha, etc. merely follow their lead, honestly. Did you just compare Katy Perry to Michael Jackson ... and I don't think Rihanna and Beyonce follow Katy's lead, if anything, its the other way around. Katy has zero artistry. Fame IV 4,426
I'm not even excited for this song. That's nothing to get excited. She's just generic. I'm ready for Applause. A Star is Born ⭐

OMG THIS. when gaga takes a risk, its ACTUALLY A RISK. its not some half assed weak attempt at being edgy, she even wrote a song about being on the edge, for ****s sake. the definition of edgy, risky, and provocative for these basics are not risky or controversial at all. recycling the ole "im burning the old, in with the new" or having a music video with naked women in it lounging around like accessories (robin thicke, JT) isnt edgy, nor risky because its been done before and the world is use to portraying women like that. their definition of risky is not very risky.
