International Smile is fun, I can see that doing well. Not here for the rest. I'm done. (Although I can see This Is How We Do and Ghost doing well too. Many of the melodies are even similar to some Teenage Dream songs, and most of the snippets lack depth. The instrumentals (except for Dark Horse) sound much to airy and light. I don't like it. It's not like one would expect a dark and deep Katy Perry album, but these snippets are the embodiment of vacuity. It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead. It's like labels keep records under wrap like crazy for ages, but just before the release, they give away and spoil every surprise with snippets and promo singles, so much that in the end, it's like you've heard the whole record already... Same with movies: the weeks before a release are so full of last minute teasers and TV spots that it's like you've seen the whole stuff already. I definitely hope Gaga isn't going down this road... A few snippets to hype us is Ok, but I wanna have surprises for Nov. 11th. We've been already teased an awful lot with Swinefest, don't you think?
