Kayla 7,595 Posted September 30, 2013 Share Posted September 30, 2013 I never really visit this thread, but after reading the replies in the thread talking about how Katy considered suicide I wanted to come in and share my thoughts. It disgusts me that people are implying she said it for "sympathy sales" or anything like that. If they'd read the actual article, they'd realize she was just talking about the meaning behind the songs and her talking about her suicide literally took up less than half a paragraph. She wasn't the one highlighting her thoughts at the time, people taking ONE part of the article/interview and making a BIG deal about it are. And people saying she's using it for promo because she mentioned it right before her album release- SHE WAS ASKED ABOUT IT. Of course in an interview about songs on her album she's gonna talk about it. Think it's all for attention just because she wasn't talking about it back in 2012? Well I'm sure had she done it then, without using lyrical explanation as a reason to voice her thoughts about that time in her life, those judgmental kids would STILL be saying she was only seeking attention so Katy can't win. It's just so unfortunate that people took this serious situation that Katy wasn't even trying to throw out all over the place and found ridiculous reasons to bash Katy or judge her character or make assumptions about her life over.
