The album needs a little more pop just to balance things out and that would've been perfect, not to mention everyone loved it. Not necessarily. This is typically an R&B/Electro-Soul record with Hip-Hop influences. She doesn't have to add "Pop" to it, to balance it out. The album is quite balanced in sound. It sort of runs in vein with '4' but takes the Soul genre to the next level. If you actually put SOTS in this album, it wouldn't even fit. So I guess it's best to leave it out. Beyoncé is best with R&B/Soul/Hip-Hop songs, to me. Although her voice is amazing with dance records. She also has a second part coming next year so you never know! Columbia confirmed a new Bey record in '14 though. Don't know if they were playing along with Bey's surprise or if this is another record coming. I think they didn't knew which song was until they got on the set, after that they all knew. They didn't even know who they were shooting the video for until they got to the set though. They were told it was for a "dance video". They didn't even know they were filming for Beyonce. What I think they mean is, for example if Gaga films a video for "Donatella" but on set they play "Fashion", "Donatella" and "ARTPOP", so the dancers wouldn't actually know which song was the video actually for. I also find it hard to believe that the film crew didn't know what the video was for... like the song would have to be playing?
