Repeating JustPokeHerFace...

"Starstruck", "Monster", "Dance in the Dark", "Scheisse", "MANiCURE", "Gypsy", and "Do What U Want" all had massive potential. "Sexxx Dreams" is also wildly catchy and unique, but if radio was just going to censor the lyrics, I'm glad they didn't bother releasing it.

And obviously "GUY" deserved much more attention than it got.

Do What U Want when it would have been the first single. It sounded fresh for Gaga and in generally, it's smooth, was a new genre and is very  well produced and catchy. The people loved it.

The problem was that Applause was just another Gaga standard song and also in a weaker version, It was not surprising like Bad Romance for example or very good produced like Just Dance or Poker Face.

Then there were the problems R.Kelly ( without words ) and no video ( Richardsons video was trash ).

---------

PARTYNAUSEOUS would have been in it's techno hip hop version from ARTRaveBall a big summer smash, i'm sure. It sounded like a gigantic energetic monster hip hop rave hyprid - very new and fresh. Pity about it.

RedOne and Garibay should complete the techno hip hop version and make it a smash for new album.

Dance in the Dark would have smashed charts if it had a video and was promoted.

It charted higher than G.U.Y in Australia and the U.K :smh:

In my messy era.

Starstruck, the fact that it sold 600k copies in the US alone without being a single is proof enough. It featured Flo-Rida, who was fresh off the heals of his biggest hits ever, so it would have smashed and probably been The Fame's 3rd #1.

Honorable mentions (in no particular order): Monster, Dance in the Dark, Scheisse, MANiCURE, Gypsy, and Do What U Want (if the damn video would have been released).

Agree with this 100%.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Head Empty

Pretty much anything after Alejandro would have smashed, but I'm positive that Dance In The Dark would have been one of her biggest songs yet. The song is way more serious than anything she had released up untill that point, and the lyrics were on another level. It would've shown the world a side of her that definitely should be taken seriously.

Venus would've been an amazing first or second single from ARTPOP if given the proper promo, but I guess it wasn't written in the stars that way (pun unintended).

And lastly I think Partynauseous would've done amazingly as well if it had gotten the proper treatment. It's a very unique song and it have been a huge risk, but I think that it's a fresh sound that the would would've appreciated. I usually dislike hip-hop and hardstyle but this song is one of my all-time favorites.

DWUW :neyde: Even with a simple alternate video, better planning about what was actually going to be released and timing and a little more push in promotion that song would have smashed

DWUW could have behind BR 2.0 in terms of impact and success , have it been off a well promoted and well managed Era.

If we are speaking about unreleased songs then Out Of Control and Nothing On But The Radio are powerful contenders for the number 1 spot back in 2010-2012

Songs on album that had they become singles could have been huge hits

Monster for sure and i'd like to think Scheisse as well

Not sure about Starstruck tbh , also as much as we love DITD it wouldn't have performed better than Alejandro , if we put Alejandro's video aside its way more radio friendly than DITD and the melody can be enjoyed by any music lover. Gypsy and MANiCURE also have potential for top 10 but the era was falling apart so no point in that.

The Fame - Starstruck (Obviously by now)

The Fame Monster - Monster, SHICD (Honestly at this point she could have released anything, people just enjoyed her style and music and would have went with everything she would have released)

Born This Way - Hair (As the 2nd Single to keep the self-esteem topic of the album alive)

ARTPOP - Dope (It was the only Song after Applause to enter the Top 10)

               - MANiCURE (It's a great mixture of pop & glam rock that the gp could get into very easily)
