Why did you choose to stan for Gaga as opposed to another artist?

She grabbed my favourite genre by the balls, and has dominated it ever since!

I connected with her music and way of living, and never even could I  connect with my own family on the level that I find I have connected with Gaga.

She reminded me that being different and weird is a good thing. I am very different and weird and loving being that way.

She made me feel comfortable being me!

It happened at the beginning of 2013. One day she just popped in my mind and I wondered what happened to her. I then looked on Google and found out she broke her hip. I then watched tons of her performances. I watched Paparazzi VMA over and over for a week and continued watching everyday for over a month. 

 

Watching those performances it showed me that she was a real artist and performer.

Because she is an extraordinarily talented singer and songwriter.

Because she designs grand concepts with all the components (music, lyrics, costumes, staging, choreography) fitting perfectly into that conceptual theme.

Because she has the talent for multiple genres.

But most of all, because of her human endeavors; helping bullied kids and LGBT, spreading kindness, courage, tolerance, self-worth, and positivity and being a great role model.  She doesn't just talk about kindness, she is a kind person herself.

Well, because she is an interesting person. Ever since the beginning I started watching her first live performances, bought her debut album, started following her career. It's not like I expected to be a fan of her for my entire life, I had already been obsessed with Marilyn Manson way before Gaga and I still am, and with other artists like Cher, Pink, etc. but it's just something that happens.

I'll admit at first I took to her solely bc of her catchy songs and cool fashion (this was poker face era), and it just so happened that as the months went on I realized I latched onto something extraordinary. I became emotionally attached to her later on, probably mid to late 2010. I started to identify with her.

I don't think I did "choose"..? I don't know how it happened I just know that there was a time before gaga that I can't even imagine now... I didn't come across her on purpose or by choice, only in a dance class and it wasn't until I bought her album that I really became obsessed. I think the Born this Way Era made my fandom stronger because it was so interactive and the music was so good and everything. Now I just feel like she's part of my life, like I would find it weird not talking about her or reading or watching or listening.. It's just part of my life now.
