Growing up I always loved movies like beetlejuice and labyrinth. The aesthetic of semigrotesque androgynous captivation. I loved Korn, Evanescence, Nirvana, Elton John, Blondie, No Doubt, Queen, Bowie, Prince and in a more fast-food way, the spice girls, Britney & Xtina.

I knew of gaga from the start. I didn't like her because she was just another talentless pop star.

Shortly after I'd made this assumption, I heard a piano version of poker face and couldn't understand how someone could be an eclectic mix of all the musicians I grew up loving.

I saw her at Glastonbury and saw the paparazzi video around the samre time and was hooked. The songbs video with one being sweet and the other sinister... That's my kinda ****.

I didn't choose to Stan. I resisted as hard as I can, but her talent and skill seduced me.

when everbody was listening to her still in the JD days and PF i hated her. i just thought WTF another blond pop chick. but then i started to look her up. and the first thing i saw was the pokerface cherrytree session. after that i instanly fell in love with her person. Second comes the music. i love her voice. both just listen her talk or sing. also her music helped me through much with my d--g addictions.

i feel her - thats also important.

I could go on and on and on and on why i love her but well i think thats enough to answer the topic.

She really is one of a kind and she emerged at a time when nothing of interest was really happening in pop music.

I remember when I was in high school how much I hated "Just Dance," and how I thought the person singing must be this talentless, autotuned girl. (I was going through a "I'm too cool for pop music phase.") It's crazy just how far off the mark I was.. 

Fast forward to the release of the "Paparazzi" music video: Bitch, when she came out of the limo into the wheelchair, and she was doing her little wheelchair choreo..I died! That's when I knew she was a crazy b---h and that I had to stan for her.

I think Gaga is an awesome person and artist, but I think one of the reasons I stan for her hard is because I hated her while she was in her pre-BTW eras, so I'm sort of making up for it. 

She's one of two artists I stan for. The other isn't pop.
