Do you have anyone in your life who loves to hate Gaga?

My mum and my sister, they both say she's ridiculous and 'she's making homos-xuality seem normal, when in fact we should be putting homos-xuals into mental health institutes.' My friends also like to tease me about liking Gaga but it's more of a friendly joke kinda thing and they've never actually said anything that was offensive, unlike my mum and my sister :(

No one, really. I don't hang around people who get into the silly diva wars. There are people in my family who don't care for her music, but they simply like other types of music. Why would they spend time hating on her? It's not like she has done something like Chris Brown or is even someone like Kanya. Most of my friends at least respect that she is a talented all around artist, even if they are interested in other types of music.

I don't have this kind of people in my life. on the contrary, my family and friends who know that I love Gaga always ask me what she's been up to recently. I'm their personal Gaga informator

My current theatre director at school. GOOD GOD THIS WOMAN. If people listen to Katy, Drake, Taylor, etc., it's okay with her. But the moment I play Gaga. "Can we turn her off? Thank you." "Let me tell you about her best friend Madonna" "You seriously think she can sing? She's an entertainer. She lip syncs. Only Beyonce can sing and dance at the same time." She is still on the meat dress. Girl. Go manage that fupa. If anything, Gaga represents much of what musical theatre is so I'm surprised she doesn't like her? A mess.

Sounds like a frustrated performer who sees a lot of herself in Gaga, and is jealous that Gaga is multi-talented and successful. (I know a few people like this)

I dont have someone like this in my life. My boyfriend's mom actively adores Gaga actually, and LoveGame is her ringtone. I showed her G.U.Y and she really liked the song

My Mom will look for any chance to insult Gaga. Its almost funny in a way because its so ridiculous. She is like her scapegoat or something.

This just happened yesterday; My Dad is going to Chicago on a business trip. My aunt on my Dad's side lives there. My Dad was trying to make plans to visit her but she is going to The Gaga/Tony Bennett concert the one day he will be in her area. So she won't be able to see him. My Mom first starts insulting my aunt saying her priorities are out of order. Then she goes off on a two minute tangent insulting/making fun of Gaga by mocking her name and saying how stupid the combination of her and Tony are. She is so narrow minded when it comes to music.

My Mom even insulted Gaga for performing at the Oscar's (though she did admit her voice is good). She said that Gaga was being disrespectful to Julie Andrews by trying to "outdo" her. She thinks the movie should have been tributed by just playing a compilation of Julie singing and not bringing in another singer to perform the songs. Which is ridiculous because the tribute was to The Sound of Music as a whole, not just to Julie Andrews. Also, people want to see a live performance, not some compilation that they could watch on youtube. The Oscars' is for entertainment purposes after all.

Any time Gaga is on the news or the radio, my Mom always has to mention how ugly, idiotic and nutty Gaga is.

Its just strange how my Mom has this hated towards her and not really towards any other celebrity and Gaga is the only celebrity that I am practically in love with.

Anyway, I needed to vent about her. Does anyone have people in their lives like my Mom?

My bf likes her too but he's not obsessed with her like I am.  He doesn't come to GGD.  He only follows her on Twitter.

My mom doesnt know im a fan, so we dont get into fights. I just modestly defend her or say nothing. Like when she says Gaga is ugly, i say, "that just shows you how talented she is that she was able to be so successful despite being "ugly" in one of the shallowest industries in the world" or something like that.
