Will Gaga have a MASSIVE DISPUTE with Interscope?

Not right now, but in the future

I'm having very bad feelings about LG9

I think she'll have a huge dispute with Interscope

Like Mariah had during Rainbow era, MJ had during Invincible era

Mariah's words

As with Butterfly two years earlier, Rainbow became the center of conflict between Carey and her label. After her divorce from Sony record official and Columbia CEO Tommy Mottola, Carey's working relationship with the label deteriorated. She intended for "Can't Take That Away (Mariah's Theme)" to be the third single from Rainbow, as it held very personal lyrical content. However, Sony made it clear that they intended the third single should be a more upbeat and urban track. The difference in opinion led to a very public feud, as Carey began posting messages on her webpage in early and mid-2000, telling fans inside information on the dispute, as well as instructing them to request "Can't Take That Away (Mariah's Theme)" on radio stations. One of the messages Carey left on her page read:

Basically, a lot of you know the political situation in my professional career is not positive. It's been really, really hard. I don't even know if this message is going to get to you because I don't know if they want you to hear this. I'm getting a lot of negative feedback from certain corporate people. But I am not willing to give up.

Carey's actions were given mixed reception, with critics and executives commending her bold actions regarding a song she felt needed to be heard, while others criticized her for publicizing the dispute further.Soon after, Sony stripped Carey's webpage of messages and began negotiations. Fearing to lose their label's highest seller and the best-selling artist of the decade, Sony chose to release the song. Carey, initially content with the agreement, soon found out that the song had only been given a very limited and low-promotion release, which meant the song failed to chart on the official US chart, and made international charting extremely difficult and unlikely.

MJ's words

Following Sony's decision to abruptly end all promotion for the album, Jackson made allegations in July 2002 that Mottola was a "devil" and a "racist" who did not support his African-American artists, but merely used them for his own personal gain. The singer accused Sony and the record industry of racism, deliberately not promoting or actively working against promotion of his album.Sony disputed claims that they had failed to promote Invincible with sufficient energy, maintaining that Jackson refused to tour in the United States.

Here are the controversies that have happened with Interscope

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interscope_Records#Criticisms_and_controversy

And we all know what mess happened with Interscope with ARTPOP

They refused to fund Gaga's videos for GUY and DWUW

Then not to mention the delays

Then forcing Gaga to change the album's direction and more messes that I can't remember right now

I think the tension is brewing and when it's gonna erupt, it's gonna be very very bad

I hope this is just in my imagination

Praying that nothing bad happens

Whispering

Gags has said over and over that Interscope supports her. In general, record labels don't have the money they had 3, 5 or 10 years ago. They are having to cut corners and tighten budgets and Gaga is part of that cutback, like all other artists.

The only problem with Interscope is the fact that Jimmy left. He was the driving force behind the label and had a huge amount of influence within the music industry and with radio stations.

I mean Gaga has already had issues with her label during her least successful and most successful eras. I mean, Telephone and Alejandro weren't necessarily meant to happen because Gaga was not fond of releasing Telephone as a single and Interscope was not so happy on releasing Alejandro then but look how that turned out

Then, there was the Marry the Night debacle and Venus for DWUW switch up but I think Gaga and her label constantly fight and negotiate but not on enemy-like terms. I think if C2C hadn't happened she may have gotten intoa feud over LG5 but if LG5 doesn't turn out to be more successful than ARTPOP, then she may have a major feud develop over lack of promotion for LG6 and its singles

Praying for LG5 to hit Plat at the least
