I still don't understand why she wore them. Can someone explain?

It was a very objective way of expressing her inner-self. Born This Way was about being ourselves and letting our true, inner selves out. So the horns are a materialistic way of showing that, showing the artist, the light, the true self inside of her coming out.

It was part of the whole Born this Way concept that you can be born over and over again and stuff. Every time they asked her she just replied "I was born with them". It was annoying.

​I think they also represented how the LGBT community has been demonized by society so that was her way of commiserating with us.  She basically turned herself into the demon to tell the world, "fvck all of you, I love myself even if I look the way I do because I was Born This Way!"

At least that's my take on the horns, if you will.
