HausAlly 799
the average person doesnt think philosophically like that tho. thats over-thinking on the part of media a--lysts and stars themselves tbh With the exeption of celebrity obsessed people or fans, Most just dont care about career patterns. They either like their stuff or they dont... If your popular for too long people simply get tired of you, if your too strange people may dislike you, if someone better comes along they can replace you Stuff like that is wmakes stars fall, its not because people "like to see stars fall". While that may be true of some people, the majority just dont care that deeply. Like with Gaga she got over-exposed and people were tired of her and on top of that found her weird so they started to get over her. But 90% of people were not going "oh its fun to see a star fall, lets bash her" not even in a subcontious level Again, people overthinking i think the urge to see someone lose everything isn't a philosophical action, its a subconscious human action, i think deep down we all like to see people who are well and truly above us fall because it gives us some comfort. yeah i agree with this, everyone was so tired of gaga especially after btw, and i do think that this is what started the 'fall', i think for us to subconsciously want to see someone lose everything we do have to hate them, but that didn't stop many people here from tilting the pedestal agree to disagree i think this urge is a large part of human existence, we crave the fall of not just stars but people around us, not just subconsciously but consciously as well
LoveandMagic 1,731
I can see her respect growing actually. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
somnambulist 1,526
Why does this fanbase cling to the idea she may fail? She went through an EXTREME backlash last era, the media constantly barraging her with bull****, all the feuds, being reminded of her "flop" album constantly, and yet here she is, performing at the Oscars, rekindling a friendship with madonna, winning a grammy, getting engaged, cheek to cheek went platinum....Stop focusing on the negative every single day. she is human, not a god. She will have her ups and downs, but she is a true artist and she isn't going away.

Wolf 1,328
It depends. The media's quite bipolar. One second everyone loves you then everyone turns into a hate machine.
chiuga 1,970
Knowing her she will step out in another hooker or controversial outfit soon. If you care so much what others say about you, you're not a true artist. she will just keep going and do what she wants.

Economy 49,860
i think the urge to see someone lose everything isn't a philosophical action, its a subconscious human action, i think deep down we all like to see people who are well and truly above us fall because it gives us some comfort. yeah i agree with this, everyone was so tired of gaga especially after btw, and i do think that this is what started the 'fall', i think for us to subconsciously want to see someone lose everything we do have to hate them, but that didn't stop many people here from tilting the pedestal agree to disagree i think this urge is a large part of human existence, we crave the fall of not just stars but people around us, not just subconsciously but consciously as well perhaps so. but i domnt think its true to the degree many people think it is. The majority of people dont care as much as fans like to think they care. I think the main reason Gaga declined was due to being over-exposed and strange, thats the main reason. Career swings are normal and people go through phases on who they like and dislike, its also normal to start getting tired of an artist thats always in your face if you dont really like them BTW had WAY too much promotion and tv performances etc... especially in the beggining... and she was already everyone during TF and TFM eras and the break between TF and BTW wasnt that big She was over-exposed to the max. Either she should of had a bigger break between TFM and BTW, or she should have promoted BTW less (and not release so many singles so quickly overwelming the GP) I think besides the weirdness, even a normal pop star would go into declione after being that over-exposed
aaronyoji 2,054
some of it may ware off, but overall i think theres a new found respect for her talents now in the past year, there's irrefutable proof shes mega talented after that oscars performance, everyone agrees on that tbh. giskardsb 12,565
Will people always love what Gaga does and not bash her? Not likely. Will they always at least respect her talent and underlying musicianship? Probably. Different things.

RAMROD 109,696
Well, the normality that she offers lately give people good vibes and they takes her accordingly by not treating her as just gimmicks anymore, but also someone with big talent. It makes people feel that she can relates to her more, than she ever was when she was in kooky couture. But there will be times she will be hated again but won't be as bad as the first time. Whispering 18,865
Now, I always see comments that start out with "she's very talented" or "no doubt, she can sing"...even from people who aren't fans of Pop music. I believe those general perceptions will carry over to Gaga's next era.
