It wasnt over a knife, its that he had a history of d--g dealing in the area and he ran.

Thats no excuse, its a tragedy what happened to him. They shouldn't have arrested him in the first place.

I dont think he was hurt that bad before he was put in the van. I think he just wasn't complying and letting his feet drag. It did look like he may have had a slight injury to his left leg, but he stood up then and got into the van on his own.

The bolt mark is suppose to be on the top of his head so Im not sure how that could have come from a bolt on the floor.

Im open to the possibility that it was murder or manslaughter, but Ill wait see all the evidence. That's what you should do too. Thats what everybody should do.

You can't arrest someone for a past history or crimes they have already been arrested for. He ran and they chased him. Once they found no weapons, no d--gs, and no outstanding warrant...they had no legal right to arrest him. No one can be arrested for running from the police!

He was having trouble putting weight on both of his legs and he was wincing and screaming out in pain. His head was tilted to one side. You can believe there is nothing to all of this, but impressions from doctors and neurologists disagree with you.

There are bolts all over that van.

You aren't waiting to see the outcome. You are accusing Freddie Gray of shattering his veterbrate and severing his spinal chord. People are saying that they feel that is ridiculous and disagreeing with you. The federal prosecutor, who has seen all the evidence, disagrees with you. I'm believing what I saw, what doctors are saying and what the federal prosecutor is saying!

But because 3 black persons were involved, the black people are less angry than if all the cops are white.

Really? Because there were thousands out marching last night in cities all over the U.S. with their Black Lives Matter signs, chanting "no justice, no peace". Right now, they are holding a rally in Baltimore, that I'm sure will extend until curfew tonight.

People are tired of police brutality, whatever race they are. It just happens that you are more likely to be a victim if you are black, but all races are sick of the unnecessary violence coming from cops on a power trip. The police are paid to protect citizens, not "teach them a lesson" by giving them a rough ride, a body kick or throwing them around unnecessarily.

The courts are there to teach lessons to citizens. That's not the job of the police!

I did say they shouldnt have arrested him in the first place. If someone has a history of dealing d--gs and they run is that probable cause? Im not sure if it is or not. I would think it isnt.

Ive just seen many times how people arrested and even protesters have to be carried because they refuse to walk on their own not because theyre injured but because they dont want to be arrested. And he did look ok just before he got in the van, even though I admit he was holding one of his legs up. It wasnt both his legs, watch the arrest video.

Im not saying he did it to himself, Im saying that's a possibility along with an accident or a rough ride. Im keeping an open mind. Thats what you're suppose to do. Innocent until proven guilty.

That is different from my first post, but I thought about it more and can see now why it could have been a rough ride.

No, a history of crimes is not a legal reason to arrest someone. You've got to have something to arrest them on...d--gs, weapons, warrant, jaywalking, a busted taillight...

I have watched the arrest video, multiple times. He can't put weight on both his legs and he is in pain. He is wincing and holding his head to one side and screaming in pain. Something was going on there.

The cops will start spilling their stories soon enough and we will get the details as to who murdered this man.

But... White policemen did kill a black man? It may not only have been white people but it doesn't take away from the fact that white men co-operated in the killing of a black man.

Don't be so ignorant as Al Sharpton.

Yes, it does matter. Carrying a switchblade would have been illegal and would have meant that Gray was breaking the law and could be taken into custody. Since he was carrying a pocket knife, he was not violating any law and therefore should have never been arrested.

Your personal love affair with weapons has nothing to do with this case.

It doesn't matter which since it shouldn't have happened either way.

And even if he was arrested and made it there in perfect health it would still be an illogical injustice.

Nope, not the way it works here in the U.S. Carrying a switchblade is against the law. The law doesn't go away just because you don't agree with it.

First, that's false. Second, you don't seem to understand my points and what you posted is irrelevant. Third, yes they can go away.

It's still a law in Maryland, therefore if Freddie Gray would have been carrying a switchblade he would have been breaking the law. He wasn't, so he wasn't breaking the law...therefore he was arrested for no valid reason.

Well...yeah...it does as far as a legal right to arrest him. They would have had it in the   state of Maryland, if he has been carrying a switchblade.
