It is true that there are some very...interesting... stuff that the Bible condones and condemns according to most modern interpretations, but we have to remember that these books have been translated and re-translated several times, which is why I think that there are so many denominations of Christianity alone. I myself often make the mistake of forgetting this crucial detail. I too am an Atheist but want to be fair to my good Christian friends, all of whom would condone this type of rhetoric. I do think it's quite hilarious that in the exact same book (Leviticus) that certain hateful individuals like to drag out they condemn things like wearing different cloths and eating shell fish, things these individuals love . And boy, do they hate to be reminded of it! If I recall correctly, these have been in every version I have read (King James, Gideon, and I can't remember the other). One would think religion of any kind should at least encourage benevolence, but this mindset is just as worse as being diabolical. One is free to disagree whatever they want to disagree with but to extend it into extremities like encouraging killing is very disturbing. Murdering under the disguise of zealotry is and will always still be murdering, period. And whoever does that should be punished like any murderer, regardless of religious beliefs.
