Would GUY have been a hit if it had more radio airplay?

One of the biggest reasons, if not the biggest reason why GUY flopped on the charts was because the radio decided not to give it a chance. I personally only heard the song once on the radio. So how is the song supposed to catch on with people, how are people supposed to request it, if the radio doesn't even play it?

So, would GUY have been a hit if it had more radio airplay?

Yes. It came out at the time when there was nothing hot on the charts/radio.

Which explains why Chandelier was a smash

Absolutely not. Its Airplay and sales ratio was off. The public was not interested at all.

It had terrible callout scores (listeners rates) hence why it wasn't picked up by radio

Well, at the first place it isn't radio friendly so we got nothing to do about it. At least we got the best video of the ARTPOP era.

Yes it needed more radio support and promo, the song went unnoticed because of that.

You can't be serious. GUY is made for radio. That intro, the verses, the bridge, the CHORUS, the vocals, the lyrics. GUY is probably the one song off ARTPOP that could've smashed if it were the lead single.

It got enough airplay to enter top50 of itunes, but it didn't even enter top100

Nah. The instrumental itself isn't radio friendly. Look, radio played DWUW even it wasn't doing great in iTunes then they suddenly dropped G.U.Y.

The chorus is weak imo, that's the flaw of the song. Many ppl said they got tired fast listening to the song.
