Bebe 17,289
The first ad there is too much in attacking all muslims. (Although I did look it up and it was in response to another ad).The second ad on the other hand is completely fine. It even says the quote is from Hamas. And "That's His Jihad. What's yours?" is anything but inflammatory. It literally means "we aren't attacking all muslims, just ones like him." And that's not offensive in any way.The second ad is still hugely inflammatory and provides little reference for people whose attention they are supposedly trying to grab. The ad is on a moving bus. "Hamas" is the smallest and most unnoticable part of the ad. The most noticeable part of the ad is "Killing Jews, Worship Allah, That's Jihad, What's Yours?"Asking people what their "Jihad is" after a quote about killing jews in the name of Allah is as close to inciting violence as you could get away with. It provides no background as to who Hamas are or where they are from. It is aimed at people that don't know much about the Israel/Palestine conflict but doesn't even mention these two states. What are Hamas? Who are Hamas? Where are Hamas? I don't know. But I know they are muslim and that they kill jews to get closer to Allah. It's a Fox News type tactic, but possibly even more divisive and fear mongering. gagzus 23,044
they don't realise how impactful media is on views of other races & religions do they? first media CONSTANTLY shows non-white christian crime to excess & now this mess off topic, my grandmother hates black people because the news always reports them committing crimes & rapes & creating pedophile rings, and my best friend believes all muslims are raised as terrorists they're so stupid, the media doesn't help at all. uo111 5,282
I don't think so, ADL would be all over it, it would be seen as antisemitic and banned without a question. It's only freedom of speech when it's against certain groups. Others can get you fired, fined or even imprisoned, depends on the country. I'm taking about West now. This is in the United States and in the US their is at least one real life example that proves this wrong, although I'm sure there are more and I just don't know about them. The "West" isn't one entity, just like all Muslims aren't so it would behoove you to not use the tactics that you hate so much. I'm not saying that at all. That's a misconstruction. I'm saying that the advertisement is purposefully misleading and uninformative.Who do you think this ad is aimed at? What is it asking from you? This ad is targeted at people who have no sympathy for the Jewish position in this conflict. It's not an ad saying all Muslims are terrorist or want to kill all Jewish people. And it really doesn't take a very deep reading to understand that.

Dolev 867
Ok, so reverse the roles, here's a quote from another real video Take the quote out "Death to Arabs" or "may your village be burnt down", put it next to a photo of a Jew with kippah and add under "this is his mantra/chant for today, what's yours?" or if you want to make it more like the first ad add some verse about gentiles from Torah or Talmud. Try that and let me know how it goes. Both antisemitic and islamophobic ads should be banned, especially when they try to paint whole group of people with the same brush. The NERVE to compare a little minority of about 200,000 extremist-hateful Jewsih people at most with such a large group of Muslims in the middle east & outside that believes Israel should be destroyed. tens of millions if not hundred of millions of people who believes Israel as a Jewish state is the source to their problems. also, what is this non-sense about the Torah? what do you even know about it? compared to the "apes and pigs" statements in the Quran its a peaceful book. Not to mention the hebrew Bible, Tanakh: "He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore." (Isaiah 2, 4)

Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore." (Isaiah 2, 4) That "small extremist minority" is funded and supported by the Zionist government. Let me remind you of this story Who is funding the rabbi who endorses killing gentile babies? For example, government ministries regularly transfer support and funding to a yeshiva whose rabbi determined that it is permissible to kill gentile babies "because their presence assists murder, and there is reason to harm children if it is clear that they will grow up to harm us ... it is permissible to harm the children of a leader in order to stop him from acting evilly ... we have seen in the Halakha that even babies of gentiles who do not violate the seven Noahide laws, there is cause to kill them because of the future threat that will be caused if they are raised to be wicked people like their parents." http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/features/who-is-funding-the-rabbi-who-endorses-killing-gentile-babies-1.4005 The NERVE is to talk about killing Jews as a religious worship which belongs to Islam, which means every Muslim should do it, when only last summer the number of Muslims killed by Jews was multiplied by 32 times. And that's how it was in every war with Israel. And you can find "When genocide is permissible" published on Times of Israel, so tell us where all these Jewish extremists (incl. rabbis) are drawing their inspirations from? I'm not gonna fall for your flamebait though. You know very well that from every religious text a verse can be taken out of context to present the religion as violent, like you are doing now. I don't go to anti-Judaism websites, like you go to antiislamic ones. What do you know about the Qur'an and authentic hadiths? What do you know about it's meaning? Do you think Muslims are allowed to marry "apes and pigs"? Muslim men are allowed to mary Jewish and Christian women, because they are called "People of the Book" and it's clearly stated there is "no compulsion in religion". Prophet Muhammad married a Jewish woman, he had a Jewish neighbour who used to put garbage in front of his door every morning, but he went to visit him when he was ill. The Jewish funeral passed by and Muhammad got up in respect, the companions said "he is a Jew?"; he answered "is he not a human (soul) ?". "If anyone kills a man who had made a covenant (anyone who belongs to a Non-Muslim community with whom a treaty of peace has been made, or a member of protected communities) will not experience the fragrance of paradise."(Sahih Bukhari). So no, this is not part of the religion. I don't know what are you trying to do here? Are you justifying this ad? You said Jewish extremists don't represent majority, but somehow one person affiliated with Hamas represents the whole Muslim world? Are you denying that similar ad about the Jews wouldn't be allowed? I don't get it. Stop with the double standards. You are calling any criticism of Israeli state - antisemitism, but at the same time you encourage islamophobia and inflammatory messages. In Germany, one lawyer got 3 years of prison for Holocaust denial. In other countries you might get fine or lose your job, like it happened to Charlie Hebdo cartoonist for making a joke about Judaism and Sarkozy.ADL - Anti-Defamation League is based in the United States, in NYC where this same bus ads will show, contact them and let us know if you are allowed to make similar ad with Jews as main characters. You are calling any criticism of Israeli state - antisemitism, but at the same time you encourage islamophobia and inflammatory messages. Yeshiva ≠Some individual. Israeli security services arrests both Jewish and Muslim people when it comes to hate crimes. You accusing Israel in funding extremists while Iran, Syria & Lebanon are funding terror directly speaks for itself. You're always ignoring the Arab side in this conflict and blame Israel for everything that is possible. A high death toll says nothing. The Germans had much more people dying in WWII. Improve your arguments to higher standard and stop acting like its some secret Israel has the upper hand on weaponry and it should sit defenseless watching a terror-group firing rockets towards its citizens (both Jews & Muslims, by the way). The NERVE to use some blog content as an example while it was deleted and condemned by "The Times Of Israel" itself. http://www.timesofisrael.com/times-of-israel-removes-an-unacceptable-blog-post/Let's not. Antisemitism is widespread among Arab-Muslim nations. With no one condemning it. also your ridiculous statement about me spending my time in going to hateful websites. Chill. I have better things to do. You're the one spending your time on bashing Israel for hours each day. I don't know a lot about Islam and I never pretended to. You on the other hand... "add some verse about gentiles from Torah or Talmud." Don't bother with Muhammad while he slaughtered a whole Jewish tribe. These non-sense about him having a Jewish neighbour throwing garbage at his door everyday. I swear... don't you notice what kind of ridiculous stories you've been told about? Your mistake starts when you put a 17-million populated religion on the same level of with a religion that has more than 1,500,000,000 believers around the whole world. While fundamentalism is indeed small in the Jewish communities, same can't be said for the Muslim world. Tens of millions of people dedicated to the Sharia law and to the destruction of the Western civilization. And again, while you sit here on Gaga Daily whining non-stop about treatment of Muslims by the world, Israel is all what any citizen of an Islamic-ruled country would love to live in. So start with fixing problems within your own society before you aim to "fix" the world. Utopia could never happen.
Bebe 17,289
This ad is targeted at people who have no sympathy for the Jewish position in this conflict. It's not an ad saying all Muslims are terrorist or want to kill all Jewish people. And it really doesn't take a very deep reading to understand that. If people don't have sympathy for the Jewish in this situation, then how much do you think they know about the conflict? Surely statistics on how many Jewish lives have been taken would be a far less inflammatory way to get that point across. There are are ways to discuss the religious elements of this conflict, but to do so on such a small and uninformative ad is reckless. If people are unsure about the conflict then how much do you think they know about Hamas? There is NO reference to Israel/Palestine at ALL in this ad.At least 53 Americans have been killed and 83 injured by Palestinian violence since 1993. Don't you think something like that would be a be a better slogan? You didn't answer the second part of the question. What is the ad asking from you? It isn't very clear.. What action does this ad want you to take? The ad was created by AFDI, a well known "anti-muslim hate group". They are preying on the uninformed. Past ads by this group include juxtaposed images of the September 11 attacks with a quote from the Quran: "Soon shall we cast terror into the hearts of the unbelievers."Another from them reads "In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat Jihad."There ads are not helpful in the slightest. They have a clear goal to target the uninformed and spread fear. The people who this ad is targeting don't know much about Hamas. They don't know who they are or where they are from. What they do know is that they are killing jews and worshiping Allah. No this ad doesn't explicitly say that all muslims are terrorists who want to kill jews. But it's a simplification of a very complicated conflict and an attack on Islam without any clear and noticeable reference to Palestine or Israel. lego 44,165
@DolevI haven't been told anything, I have been studying these things for 10 years, because I've been interested in history and religions. The hadiths have chains of narration and each person's character has to be known. It seems like a nonsense to you, but these stories about treating non-Muslim neighbours are taught to Muslim kids in schools as an important part of their religion, you will find it in any reliable Islamic book under section called - Akhlaq. This is from the basics of religion. The Jewish tribe have committed a treason, a crime which even in present day results in death in many countries. It is simply not true that "killing a Jew draw one closer to Allah".A high death toll says a lot about disproportional use of force with "surgically precise weapons". I never had nice things to say about Iranian, Syrian nor Lebanese governments. I oppose all of them. I wrote many times about Assad's crimes. Most of the Muslim world is under dictatorship, while Israelis choose to be ruled by warmongers. Something to think about. There are no really issues in my society, no need to worry about that.If you want to continue this bs, stay more on topic, because you have not mentioned the ad at all. My examples were just for comparision, but you seem to have huge issues with that. FreePalestine
