She said during commercials when she was on GMA promoting Applause with the wizard of oz performance she wanted MANiCURE & Sex Dreams as a double single release an film back to back videos within a short space of time (like Eh Eh & LoveGame).

that was also when she explained why she stopped working with Azealia

and then her Facebook said Gypsy.

and then she announced Venus.

and then her label made a commercial with DWUW and made it a single without her permission.

and then we got **** 

 

It should've stayed Venus and I'll forever be pressed about it.

I personally wanted MANiCURE and still think it's one of the 3 only songs that could've been singles (Venus, Sex Dreams & Aura despite what fans would think wouldn't be successful) G.U.Y was the only mistake single released tbh.

from what I can gather, the single order when applause was out was gonna be

MANiCURE & Sex Dreams (the latter probably would've been a promo single with a MV)
