I feel the same way. As I whole I don't care nearly as much about her as I did in 09-10. I started using GGD when I was like 14 and at almost 21 I'm just into other artists way more now. She could create the best album of her career and I don't think I'd be as into it as I would've been when she just started out, but that's not a bad thing because I'll still support her

There might be more older users who are just not very active here. Anyway, there is no reason to feel embarrassed to be a fan. 

There are sometimes threads that might annoy me  and make me think that I am too old for that but I always keep coming back. I don't care how old everybody is. Age doesn't necessarily represent the maturity. It's still a pretty awesome place.

That's just people on this site. I became a fan of Gaga in 2008 (I was 18 years old) and I still listen to it, my love for her and her music became bigger with Born This Way and to this day, I still listen to her. When I went to her concerts, I saw a lot of people of all ages, I saw people around the age of 23-25, just like very young from the ages of 16-19, and also older than that, around their 28-32 and of course, there are fans who are even older in their 40's - 50's and perhaps even older than that. I love how you see so many people listen to Gaga, but yes, if you only count people on GagaDaily, that's always (maybe) going to be around the ages that you say because not everyone cares about following a community (especially not when fans get very sensitive about Gaga's chart success or things like that and start throwing **** at those who don't praise her).

I don't think age should be given as much importance as you're giving it  You're definitely not too old to be here, and I don't even think there's such a thing as being too old to be on a fan forum  There are older people here, there was actually a thread made for members above 25 (or a number near there) but I think it fell down the Conversation Area and disappeared.

Maturity hasn't really got an age and I've actually found some younger members being the most mature, and vice versa  Being a fan of someone isn't someone you need to grow out of at all, you just enjoy the ride however long it lasts and then if you're not interested anymore then you take your leave

And it only bothers me when members casually mention how gross it is to think about getting older.

It's like b---h, that's me.  

But then I'm like... whatever.  I guess I should be doing something better with my life than coming on here, if I think about it.  But then I'm like, I am doing good things with my life!  I got my own house(s), my own car, and a job.  No boyfriend though  

It makes me self conscious being older than average here so I agree with the OP.

Well, apparently she lost lots of fans with the BTW era and even more with the AP era. She probably lost lots of her older fans but gained newer ones. And really, can you blame the fans? The older you are, the more betrayals you had to take. Gaga is messy A-F, the list of betrayals never ends, we don't even get music anymore only jazz., she has a bad attitude, we have to wait 5 more months just to properly listen to TIHTY...point is, at one point it does get tiring. It's a lot easier to stan for other artists and many did do that. If she doesn't start pumping out amazing music again I'll probably leave her when I'm 21 too.

There are a few 30 and older members who are still here, but I think the poll is only a sample and may not reflect the overall fan base since the majority don't log into GGD, and of that only a percentage voted.   I don't know that there is any accurate way to calculate the demographic for age, but the poll does show an interesting trend.

I think it's more that teenagers have more spare time and enjoy using social media in general more. I absolutely LIVED on the internet in high school. I had a big following on deviantART and put loads of time into hustling for likes and notes on FB and Tumblr and stuff. I started to use social media less and less in college and after graduating because little pings from anonymous strangers just don't feel as gratifying as they used to, and I devote a lot more time to developing and making connections in real life nowadays. I'm here for Gaga anyways, not shady twinks who think it's cute to be rude to each other and think it's noble to try to "win" arguments with online strangers ;) (Of course, not all teens are like that at all, I've met some very thoughtful young people who are an absolute pleasure to interact with)
