Dorothy Gale 7,575
I love ARTPOP. It did get older faster than BTW, but I had heard most of it before it dropped.
djBuffoon 12,115
I too am an unapologetic fan of ARTPOP. I adore Born This Way, but ARTPOP sounds and feels like a bolder extension of the music Gaga became famous for. She managed to find surprising nuances in her signature aesthetic without repeating herself. The album does not get the respect it deserves.

Blue Jeans 3,815
Well excuse me hunty. I didn't want the ageism police to come knocking on my bussy. Excuse me but its not like i'm Madonna's age, i'm 21 Destiny is for losers. It’s just a stupid excuse to wait for things to happen instead of making them happen

Sexxx Dreams' bass line sounds quite jazz inspired imo
Cody Draco 2,531
Excuse me but its not like i'm Madonna's age, i'm 21 Well people tend to find offense in the word "old" and flattery in the word "young". As long as you still bop to ARTPOP when you're elderly it's all Italian aka good.

LoveGameGuru 4
Where is the jazz? It's mostly dance pop lol I think Cheek to Cheek is jazzActually Its old school pop. cause that was pop for the time. ARTPOP is like a modern day jazz edm that gaga created herself. Mills 446
It IS underrated. Bad timing of release (directly caused by the hip injury), the unexpected change of management (plus the promotional mess caused by it), and the overall negativity inflicted on the album's image (and hers) due to the lower sales ARTPOP and its singles got compared to her previous releases unfortunately overshadowed the content of the album itself. It seemed as if writing about a once untouchable pop star falling down from the very 'throne' created by the media was decided to be a sellable story or an easy bait for more site clicks - and to make matters worse, the perceived decline was overly exaggerated to a point some ought to ignore that the album had sold as much as most mainstream releases which were perceived nothing but a 'success'. Unfair, isn't it?I love the album, and like I've stated a countless times, I still find it better than most dance/pop albums released for the last 10 years or so, including Gaga's own mainstream debut and its follow-up EP.
