Everything the Greens propose seems to be an "in a perfect world" proposal.

This

Plus they want to make the army considerably smaller even through we have HUGE threats from people around the world
They also don't want economic growth because it would have a bad impact on the environment :laughga:

I love a lot of their policies though  And I think I might vote for them just as a protest against the main parties :emma:

Like they're nice ideas but unrealistic and unworkable

Go move to the Netherlands and you'll see most of the points are already here

I'd probably vote for the conservatives or for the liberal democrats. I only watched the debate, and other than that know nothing about UK politics. But the conservatives are a bit too right-winged in my opinion. Healthcare and education should, as much as possible, stay free. I don't really know about the liberal democrats, but continuously saying 'we want to tax the rich' isn't really what the UK needs. It's a good thing, but not going to bring back the deficit by a lot. The Greens, SNP and Labour put too much focus on investing. But that's not what the UK needs either, you want to avoid the deficit from getting bigger. I agree with the Greens on ecological stuff, but do support cuts to improve the situation long-term. On the other hand, I also support high regulation on the financial sector, so I think the Liberal Democrats would fit best with me.

@MissRebelDolly your girl Sturgeon did well yesterday

Yeah. I've saw it all day in the news. However, I hate how the media/politicians seem to think she is gonna ruin the country if she gets in

I'm a gay male that works in the green energy industry. You may think that I'd be a lefty - I was raised with the 'vote labour always' thing drummed into me.

However, the only REALISTIC leader that's spoken in this debate has been Nigel Farage.

The problem with the country right now is that the left-wingers are hoping - HOPING for a rainbows and lollipops future. That's not something that's going to happen.

Farage has been in business. He knows how to make the country filthy stinking rich, and he's right about it.

Run the country like you'd run a house - if there are too many people in your house and you're running out of basic essentials because you can't afford to pay for them all... well, close the damn door and stop letting tom **** and harry in. Let them in if they're going to pay for their own essentials and contribute to the bills.

As far as getting out of EU... there's nothing positive about being in the EU. We'll still be in NATO, we'll still be able to have international trade agreements with the EU countries... but we'll be calling the shots. You want our business? Well then you'd better give us a good deal, or we'll go elsewhere, because mummy and daddy can't tell us what to do anymore, we've moved out.

To clarify - I think that the UK would function a hundred times better without Europe. Not least because we'll be able to produce what we want inside the country - creating jobs - and export our goods to other countries - creating an income (something we don't really have) that'll pay off our debts and recycle itself into investments.

The immigration thing is a focal point, but it makes 100% sense. As someone who's lived in both Australia and the UK, i can tell you that the Australian system works and protects the country very well. It's not about keeping people out, or stopping people living their lives - it's about having rules and regulations that are governed by the householder, not the neighbourhood watch committee.

If you're coming here and you have nothing to offer, then you're coming here to leech in some way, and I'd rather you stay in whatever dismal country you're in, thanks. We pay out NHS and our taxes to serve our country and ourselves, we don't pay in so you can nip across for some freebies.

Being out of Europe would also mean we don't bow down to the European court of human rights. Courts that kept terrorists basically free to do as they please in this country for YEARS via legal loopholes in the EU system. If we want Abu Hamza out, then bye Felicia, you're not radicalizing nobody b---h.

All this being said, I'm not right wing, either. I believe in equal rights for Minorities, Gays, women and, believe it or not... the most under-represented group in equal rights discussions - white males. I believe in rights for human beings - but I also believe in Education, a health care system, an economy that can grow and support itself without risky rulings from outside countries, I believe in nourishing the country and helping it to thrive... and none of the other parties have said anything that makes as much sense as Nigel Farage has spoken about.

That's my problem. I think he's the kind of guy I could deal with as a boss, I could put up with him and maybe have a bit of a joke... but as a leader of the country he would get us bombed. Hard.

He's straight talking too much without taking into account that most people in the world have been bubblewrapped to hate being told the truth and facts and would much rather operate on an "it's ok, everything's lovely, we just want to be calm and placid and let people get on with what they're doing because we'll mind our own business until the world falls apart" mentality.

I WAS going to vote Green, but the party, along with the non-UKIP parties, all came across as very very naive, manipulative and clueless in the debates. All a bit too obsessed with being nicey nice and telling Farage what a scum bag he is for daring to speak any kind of logical truth.
