Police officer accidentally shoots black man, another says "**** your breath"

Apparently he thought it was just his tazer but who cares? @Haroon is right he literally apologized in the most nonchalant way possible as if he accidentally stepped on someones foot. Apparently the guy is being tried for manslaughter which is very good. 73 years old and you still have access to a gun and badge? Maybe if you're the sharpest 73 year old out there that's okay but if you're some sheriffs reserve guy and you just accidentally shoot a suspect you don't deserve to wear a uniform.
 

What's scary to me is if all these incidents weren't caught on video soo many people would jump and try and defend the police with all of their might. some of them even still are.. Not all cops are bad but there are a lot of bad ones and I'm so sick of white america (obviously it isn't just white people defending the authorities but when I think of people who defend cops who kill I think of those old white people wearing shirts that say "I can breathe") defending them as if they are absolutely guiltless in the matter...

The sad thing is that None of these officers will get in any real trouble.  If it even gets to court im am sure the jury will acquit them.  So messed up and there needs to me mental evaluations done on ALL police officers current ones and future. There also needs to me proper training so that police officers aren't just gun happy, angry tyrants running around taking out their problems on civilians. Police officers need mental evaluations and humanization training. This is so getting out of hand. I don't understand why there are homeless people in America they can just become a Cop since it seems like any gun happy, egotistical, ignorant piece of sh*t can become one.

Report: Tulsa sheriff's employees were told to forge Bates' training records

 

Tulsa World: 3 supervisors who refused to sign forged records on Robert Bates were reassigned

A sheriff's office spokesman says he's skeptical about the report

(CNN)Some supervisors at the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office were told to forge Robert Bates' training records, and three who refused were reassigned to less desirable duties, the Tulsa World reported.

 

Bates' training has come under scrutiny since the 73-year-old volunteer deputy killed Eric Harris on April 2. Bates claims he meant to use his Taser, but accidentally fired his handgun instead.

 

Dylan Goforth, one of the two Tulsa World reporters on the story, said the paper starting hearing "almost immediately" from different sources that Bates' training records had been falsified.

 

The newspaper said the Sheriff's Office provided a list of the courses Bates received credit for, but did not give details such as the names of the supervisors who signed off on the training.

 

Ziva Branstetter, the other Tulsa World reporter, said she has been asking for the names of the supervisors involved.

 

"You would think the sheriff's office, if in fact there has been no pressure applied, no falsification of records, that they would be forthcoming with these documents," she told CNN's "New Day."

 

"We've asked for them. They've said they don't believe they're public records."

 

The Tulsa World story does not say who allegedly asked the supervisors to falsify the training records, or why.

 

But the orders apparently started years ago, before Harris' death, "back when (Bates) was trying to get on as a deputy," Branstetter said.

 

The sheriff's office strongly denied the allegations in the Tulsa World's report. It also declined a CNN interview to respond to the claims.

 

But in an email to CNN, the department's Maj. Shannon Clark said the lack of named sources in the Tulsa World report leaves him dubious.

 

"Just keep in mind that the Tulsa World reporter cannot validate her sources and claims anonymity, which leaves us skeptical that her claims are unsubstantiated and deceptive," Clark wrote.

 

Bates was classified as an advanced reserve deputy for the sheriff's office. That means he would have had to complete 480 hours of the Field Training Officer (FTO) program to maintain that classification, the paper said.

 

Bates would also have needed firearms certification training.

 

Missing gun certification records

But the sheriff himself has acknowledged there is a problem with Bates' gun certification records -- his office can't find them.

With all this news for the last year  of blacks doing criminal acts and getting shot when running away from the cops or getting caught in the act  -  I am surprise that  blacks don't give up their criminal behavior but it's their choice.

How can you say this? These people are suspects, the police job is to investigate and make arrest, not shoot to kill.   12 year old black boy was shot dead because of toy gun. While white men can point real guns and get out of it alive! When will whites stop with criminal behaviour? So stupid.

Your logic is the same one that radical conservatives have about s-x. "Don't have s-x and you won't get pregnant!" While not realizing everyone has s-x at some point. And sometimes it can be earlier than one can expect and therefore s-xual education is necessary for children and not just abstinence instructions.
