HausOfNena 1,712 Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 VENUS would have been a great album title if she included all of the songs that had Greek references (she said in the past that Temple has this, and obviously Venus, GUY, and MJH do as well). I will ALWAYS stan for this. Gaga hinted at it so much, I'm certain that it's a song that was part of the 70-80 songs of ARTPOP. This would have been a better title for the album based on the songs that ended up on it. Mills 446 Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 Hmm, Venus is one of my least favourite songs from the album but it's one of those titles which caught my attention the most + I really like. So I won't have a problem with it as an album title. Like some have already mentioned, a Venus-titled album wouldn't change much of the imagery we got during ARTPOP (from her promoting Applause to the release of G.U.Y. to the artRave Ball Tour).And looking back, it's as if 'Venus' was an alternative title for the album from the get-go after all the things we've seen during the AP era. Not to mention, her possibly playing the 'Goddess of Love' alter-ego all throughout would've been a cute/apt way to continue her message of self-love since BTW. It was supposed to be an extra addition to the era just like the Born Brave bus. Aura on the album is cleaner and more cohesive with the rest of the album. Y'all act like the version on the album is SO sh*tty compared to the demo when it is still a masterpiece. her metal vocals in the verses on the Aura demo are like a 10000X better and make a better contrast between the harsh/sassy verse lyrics and the operatic verses of the choruses.
