As for @daviddarko obsession with Madonna, it is really just sad and pathetic. Whenever this person has a change to drag her, he is there.

You are the typical little monster that goes on to every website page and Facebook to drag Madonna.

You are a parasite like Paws Down. Not constructive, not educated, not informed, just hateful.

Do people expect Prince, Bowie, Paul Mccartney and other older musicians to open with huge numbers?
Congrats on Madonna on being 56 and still relevant within the pop world. She might not be the current #1 artist, but she clearly still has a place within the pop sphere and that's some achievement.

Everyone seems so convinced her tour will save her, but will fans continue to pay these ridiculous amounts of money she charges for tickets??

You know what I find troubling about articles like this about Madonna and Gaga flopping? You would NEVER see an article like that written about a man.

I heard Madonna was crying and sobbing badly after reading this relieable and unbiased article from pretigious Forbes... then wiped off her tears with dollar bills from her one-billion fortune!

Okay, so the album is doing bad as far as sales numbers and singles, which is a shame because Madonna and the fans really seemed to love this album. She could still pull out a hit I think, though I agree she probably can't do much to push the album anymore. Still, I admire the hustle and pride she is taking in this project. She's giving it her all and standing by her work. That was something I really admired about Gaga and ARTPOP. She knew the album wasn't bad and she put a lot of effort into it. That's what artists SHOULD do.

But I don't get their argument about it being at debuting at number 2. Number 2 is a great position and the same position as Ray of Light, arguably one of her best albums. They also acknowledged other albums of hers have debuted at less, so am I missing something about this particular point?

But like Gaga, I wouldn't count Madonna out just yet. A slump in twenty years? Not too shabby. And we know the tour will be a success. She can always count on the tour.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Why should anyone care at this Point ? Madonna paid her dues a Long Time ago. I wonder why someone would even bother to question her Legacy. :madge:

I don't think any kind of hit is going to happen this era. Her album sales aren't going to justify pushing a third single with much financial backing, after the first two singles flopped.

Rebel Heart debuted at number two behind an album that will not end up being the worldwide  top selling CD, like Titanic (that beat out Ray of Light) was. That soundtrack ended up being in the top 25 best selling albums of all time. Ray of Light was number two, because it was released the same week as a worldwide smash. ROL went on to have hit songs and to sell consistently. The same is not true for RH. That's the difference behind these number two positions....one was a temporary victim of poor timing, and one is a "flop" that is highly unlikely to recover.
