Gaga hearing voices

Remember during ARTPOP promo interviews Gaga mentioned a few times (Howard Stern, Graham Norton, Miranda Sawyer, and maybe a few others) that she hears voices in her head? I am kind of confused as to what she means by this. Sometimes when she explains it, she basically says she is very creative and cannot shut her brain off and fully relax. She is constantly getting ideas and hearing melodies and sounds. This makes more sense to me. But there were a few times when she described it almost like true auditory hallucinations (this is like visual hallucinations except you hear something that isn't actually there and you think its real).  She described it as being very disturbing and scary. For example:

(she was describing herself as a child)

“Just things... I would accuse things of happening that people around me didn’t notice were happening. And as I got older it started to make me feel sick, and it still makes me feel sick sometimes"

The way she describes it here sound more like legit auditory hallucinations.

So, do you think Gaga has auditory hallucinations or is she just extremely creative and always thinking up ideas? Does anyone else experience what she described?

Edit: Also, during one of the Artraves she said she takes medication every day for mental illness. I think we all assumed she was talking about anxiety/depression. But, maybe she takes some kind of antipsycotic d--g because she actually has auditory hallucinations. Is it possible that Gaga could be schizophrenic? I don't think she is but who knows.

Lady Palutena

I've read somewhere that the most Artistic people hear voices and see things, but I think it's just part of their creativity.

I hear voices too.

And they don't like people. :green:

As a fellow creative, it's not uncommon for this stuff to happen and apparently a lot of creative people (myself included) often develop moderate mental disorders but not like schizophrenia or anything, you'll find most creatives will have at least one disorder most of the times. It's a common factor historically tbh

That's interesting. I wonder why that is?
