Bradley 59,157
I feel like no one can interpret repetitive lyrics as good as Gaga, and we ought to appreciate this style and though it might sound stupid to some people, I hope she uses more of this style in the future while writing lyrics. P-p-p poker face, p-p-p poker face Ra ra ah ah ah, roma ro ma ma ma! Ga ga u la la la Judas juda ah ah, Judas ju da ah ah Aura ah ah, Aura ah ah, Aura ah ah, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Bebe 17,094
so let me get this straight Repetitive lyrics are artistic? Nobody has said that. It is an important and powerful element to catchy songs though. Repetition is also helpful in terms of overseas success. You might not know english but you can remember this:"Can't read my,Can't read my,No he can't read my poker face(She's got me like nobody)Can't read myCan't read myNo he can't read my poker face(She is gonna let nobody) P p p poker face, p p p poker face(Muh muh muh muh)P p p poker face, p p poker face(Muh muh muh muh)"It's what made songs like Pokerface so global And if you believe Gaga, there is an art and power to music that connects people on such a large and global level. ShockPop 7,747
Ok, let's get this straight - it's a hook. It's a simple hook designed to get stuck in your head. Bad Romance did it best, obviously, because it's iconic. Her true talent comes in the way these hooks can give you the atmospheric feeling of being on a spinning merry-go-round at 100mph between every chorus and verse. It's got this effect of "oh crap, here we come back around again, this is a rush!". That's the real secret to making it go from good to great. Schwerk 7,246
Actually it's not, a lot of her early work features her signature 'stutter' like Summer boy, Money Honey, Vanity. To me it sounds like Gagas take on 'scatting', a technique she now displays with Tony but which I feel worked it's way into her popmusic as she was writing her songs on the piano, coming from a jazz background.I noticed a lot of artists emulating this 'trick' after Pokerface and Bad Romance became so big. It was so annoying cause most of them just don't sound right going all I lu-lu-luv you b-b-baby. Gaga does this in a clever fun why and I hope she never stops. I remember my colleague whos an old-school rock guy comment years ago how he found the rah rah ah ah ah very strange and un-s-xy and I said that's exactly the point! Give the girls props for her experiment. He later came back to me and was like, you're right, I dig it now. According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch
