When will Gaga write an entire album herself (eg. Jagged Little Pill, Speak Now, FROOT etc.)

she's capable sure, but she always writes songs with the haus and her friends around  that's her life

i mean if she felt like it she could write an album by herself, produce it herself, she could do everything. but why would she want to?

That's not true Honey, it's like you talk about Katy Perry (; It's Gagas work, read what i posted ^^

Imagine she was actually using ghostwriters throughtout the years and she made her fans believe she was writing her own material. :teehee:

we don't actually know about all those songs with co-writer creds bc I specifically remember Fernando saying that if someone makes suggestions changing a word for another word or changing a lyric structure she kindly gives them co-writing credits.

So technically she could've written most of those songs herself & credited them for suggestions that ended up in the final; like compare BTW to it's demo, only like a few lyrics are different & it says it has like what? 5-7 songwriters? idk

Of course  Gaga can write thousands of songs on her own. Wasn't she a songwriter for other people?

I reckon Gaga overcredits cowriters and people like Taylor undercredit them

producers have said that gaga just credits everyone who is in the room basically.

It'd be cool if she was more picky with the credits because that might get her critical success when all songs are written by her.

I was thinking of that, /end of discussion.

That would be great. I know Gaga is always very liberal with her writing credits though. For example, I would guess that Gaga wrote the verses, pre-chorus, chorus, and bridge of Gypsy all by herself and that RedOne just helped with the "Im im im im im im a gypsy gypsy gypsy im" hook, which was nice but the song would have still been great without. I know she will give writing credits for as little as a changed word.

I think that as long as she's bowling for pop #1 hits, she will continue receiving creative input from her producers, band musicians, friends and collaborators, etc. After all, two heads are better than one and the world of Top 10 singles is incredibly competitive so if you want to "win" you better pull out all the stops and use every edge you have to get ahead.

But personally, I have always dreamed of her doing an all-accoustic/live album, straight from the heart :flutter: With all songs about her personal experiences and her on the piano, no electronic robot voice or Aphrodite bikini Warhol koons conceptual lyrics. Then again I have also wanted her to do a truly experimental electronic high-concept album :laughga: I hope she picks one idea and sticks to it and doesn't let her label's desires for radio pop, or distractions from being inspired by too many things, water it down.

A lot of the her songs are actually written by herself but I remember her once stating that she credits producers as cowriters if they help her arrange the verses, etc. If they help make a small tweak to the lyrical content, she credits them as co-writers.

Two heads are better than one? Not necessarily. Too many chefs spoil the dinner.

She does write her own music. Didn't one of her producers do an interview saying Gaga's lyrics are 100% her but she's kind enough to give the producers writer credit?
