It's not really the same. With high fashion you are usually buying more than just a dress, you are buying a brand that will lead you to have a different social level while you are wearing it. With this you are only lying to yourself tbh.

You can be a bum on the street with the cash to buy a designer dress it doesn't change anything, thinking that it will now that's lying to yourself!  a killer is still a killer even if wearing Versace!

side note what's with all the madonna drama people

trying out the lossless to see if there's a difference so far i'm switching between it and 320kbps in the settings and for a general consumer with just my beats there isn't much difference.

The most important issue to me which is artist royalties was never discussed. They said that Tidal will give the artist the power over their music but how?

Spotify only takes 30% of every stream so what are they going to do to give the artist more money than Spotify does?

They still need to tell how is this going to change the music industry.

who has Madonna thanked in her first album? Blondie? Kim Wilde?

Dude, you REALLY are so incredibly pressed when it comes to the highest grossing and biggest selling female artist of all time. Besides, Madonna did thank Blondie in the beginning of her career, and even this year during the promotion of Rebel Heart.

Thanks for reminding me... let me go rip off Marlene Dietrich, maybe that will make me more successful in whatever it is I'm doing

And Tidal is good for Gaga too. She will also make more money of Tidal than Spotify, and can add exclusive content for her fans, just like intended on doing with LM.com

Sad you won't even support your own fave, just because Madonna and some other artists are co-owners (a 3% share in the company). Really sad.

That remains to be seen. You are getting your information from a bunch of people who have vested interests in this venture. I'll wait to see if this really puts more money in the pockets of the artists, or not. Even if it does, everyone may not be interested in this service, for various reasons.

I support my favorites, by buying their CDs. I could care less who bought into this streaming service as owners.

You act like you are on the payroll or something. If you think this is a great service, sign up! But you need to realize that not everyone is as over the moon enthusiastic over this as you are. This isnt a matter of life and death here. It's just another streaming service.

But what I mean is that you can say or show the brand of your clothes, phone, headphones or shoes and people will think of you as a person with certain status. No one is going to say "oh he is rich" because you use Tidal.

Just very excited about a platform that is beneficial for a lot of artists, not just the big names that are co-owners/supporters. Don't see how anyone could be all for Spotify and against Tidal. Really just can't.

Some of ya'll are borderline stupid and dont even bother to read the posts already made. There are two subscriptions. One is the normal $10 just like Spotify premium. That will be the one most of you will worry about. Yeah its the same price as spotify but the artists are still paid more per stream.

Its not about millionaires making more money. Its about ARTISTS getting paid what they deserve for their ART. Everyone of those people on that stage started off as one of us. They worked hard to get to where they are and Spotify was taking advantage of many of them.

How are you even comparing these two when you don't know the percentage of royalities Tidal is going to give to the artists? You are blindly supporting this project. There is no information about royalities at all.
