What the OP its not saying is that TIDAL its offering lossless music (yeah, they say high quality, but its not the same) so 20 dollars it's a good price, considering that youre not buying the albums + free ads (unlike free spotify) 

also there is a 10 dollars version (streaming at 320kbps)

I don't understand the argument about artists not needing money because they already have some  What needs to be taken into account also is that artists have a whole team AND more behind them that benefit greatly from the increased amount of money  Also, even if it was just to the artists, their lifestyle is more expensive than the average person's so they need that increased paycheck
