Ignoring the fact that maybe Gaga would not be that famous if this was 1998 due to her looks and agenda, I think so, if she's good enough for AHS, sure she would be a nice Buffy.

omg the hubby and I just finished watching all 6 seasons of Buffy so this hits me in the heart rn

Gaga's a great actress and Buffy was a really campy show, so I think she could have fit in well. However, the show didn't often just add in random celebrities/musicians so it probably would have seemed quite out of place. 

After watching the show again in my 20s, though, I notice so many female-empowerment things and feminist ideas. It's a truly phenomenal show, and one of the BEST episodes of TV history was a Buffy episode ("The Body," where the show deviated from it's usual campiness to address a death in the storyline- anyone who disses Buffy should watch this episode before they shun the show)

TL;DR - Gaga could do a good job on the show but it may have seemed out of place and I ramble about Buffy because the show makes me excited.
