ItsTommyBitch 12,640
Eh. G.U.Y was a cute attempt at feminism but it doesn't really do much. http://gagadaily.com/uploads/default_awkney2.gif Sorry. It's a nice song, but it glorifies bottom power, which is not real power. Bottom power is one's ability to tap into someone else's power every now and then So a woman's power to be the "dominant" one or be in charge of their relationships despite being s-xually submissive isn't real? How problematic, sis . Just hope that you know that some people would use this logic to justify putting down and persecuting women --because they are second class citizens, and they can only get any power from pretending to be men or taking up male roles such as dominance; because they are weak and fragile and can only "receive" they will never have real power... It's talking about love and relationships, but it's parallel to the concept in 3rd wave feminism (and earlier im sure, but modernly popular) that women can be the breadwinner and/or the stay at home mom, or not even have children. They have real power despite being "bottoms" "I don't need to be on top to know I'm worth it because I'm strong enough to know the truth" Back on topic though, sure but only if she wants to. She can write about whatever she wishes we don't own her. I love songs with political commentary, especially if its done well. Sometimes I prefer subtlety, (I'd say Americano was KIND of subtle in a Gaga way) other times Blunt truths can be good. (e.g. Savages by Marina). 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
