It's so exciting how much the tides have changed for Gaga! The rise of the fallen angel is well and truly under way!

The Haters cant handle yet the amount of praise given to Gaga.

Its too much for them :dies: and it has already been a month

Think about this...

Why do negative opinions get their own thread, while positive ones get grouped together in a central thread?

Shouldn't the negative opinion go in with a general thread on the performance, as well?

:applause: because the Admin wants a GGD a la ATRL mess

It has nothing to do with his opinion being positive or negative. Its because Sondheim is so respected and well known in the theater industry. Its kind of a big deal that he commented on it. You could argue that his opinion has more weight than just random jounalist. His opinion would have gotten its own thread if it was positive too. Julie Andrew's response got its own thread and that was positive.

Yeah, of course Julie Andrews got her own thread. Gaga sang HER songs! Julie Andrews came out on the stage and received the award that Gaga did the tribute for.  Julie Andrews is the first person everyone thinks of when they think of TSOM. She is the face of The Sound of Music.

Its not because he is heavily involved in TSOM that he got a thread. Its because of the weight of his opinion in the musical industry. For example if Frank Sinatra made a comment about CTC or if the president made a comment about a political speech Gaga made im sure those opinions would have gotten their own threads positive or negative. Even though both of them had no involvement in anything Gaga did.

I totally understand your frustration but it makes sense to me why his opinion was highlighted more than the others.

Sorry, The Queen of Musicals Julie Andrews loved Gaga.  The people dont know Sondheim  and I never heard anything from him. he is just an old guy from broadway. and Broadway  is well known for having bad singers.  Its the poor brother of the Operas

A real Opera Singer praised Gaga, and that's all that matters to me: http://www.classicfm.com/concerts-events/oscars/news/lady-gaga-oscars-performance/

The President would get his own thread, but others would not. This negative opinion got a thread because people here love the drama and Admin wants those hits. I'm not blaming him, and I understand what and why he does things like this, but let's just call it like it is.

Oh...and Frank Sinatra would DEFINITELY get his own thread if he commented on C2C, since he has been dead for 17 years now. :giggle:

And I loved her performance as well and I am in no way defending Sondheim's extremely disrespectful way of expressing his opinion. Im just saying he is a very important figure in the theater industry and it therefore makes sense that his opinion got its own thread.

I don't think that is true but that's your opinion.

And yes, I know Frank Sinatra is dead. My point was that people considered top notch in their respective fields have opinions that are seen as more important, valid, and useful than others.
