Did anyone actually believe you'd get direct Katy references in Bad Blood? :rip:

When the

"You kissed a girl but she ran far away"

lyric was rumored I totally believed it :toofunny:

Oh well it would have been funny

OK so I just gave Taylor's Swift's 1989 album a listen and this is my review.

Let me start by saying that the album definitely has 80s influences throughout most of the songs. However, those 80s sounds are not always used to their full potential. The album is essentially modern commercial pop reminiscent of artists like Lorde and Fun, flavored with 80s sound effects. Songs were the production shines include Style and I Whish You Would. Songs were good lyrics and emotion prevail include This Love and Out Of The Woods. And then there are also songs that have very weak and annoying choruses like Shake It Up and Bad Blood. The rest of the songs are kind of forgettable and uninteresting. To continue, this album suffers from very repetitive choruses. Taylor makes it seem like she is trying hard to make something catchy but it doesn't work most of the time. Overall this album is a very safe pop album that is not horrible by any means, but it doesn't have anything great or outstanding.

Score: 6.5/10

I think it's great, the writing shows ARTistic development and strength whilst remaining genuinely POP, far superior to a lot of recent attempts by other artists.
