It's a decent album but nothing special or groundbreaking. It's a bit sad that it's being much better received by the critics than ARTPOP which has its flaws but is definitely superior to 1989.

Born Brave

People with 100> IQ like the first one because they don't understand Gaga. They only can understand lyrics of these basics about their highschool boyfriends.

What's wrong with easily understanding an album or a song without having pull up GagaWiki or an Online Thesaurus upon first listen? You say people don't understand Gaga (which I completely agree) and then proceed to b---h and complain about low sales and scratch your head when people buy an album like 1989 in droves and say "its not fair!! Why can't Gaga sale this much because she's such a better artist". I have news for you, Quality is not defined by one fanbase, it's defined as how it's received. So now you tell me, which album has had the better reception?

Your threads are overrated :sis:

But in al seriousness it's notoverrated, it'sa great album and the best released this year. People are just bandwagoning like the do with EVERY major pop girl release. Give it a few weeks and the hype will be over.

Just because we don't like it, doesn't mean we're pressed :rip: learn the difference, sis. :rip:

Every Taylor thread gets derailed with weak shade and ignorant hater comments and this is like he third negative thread about her/the album I have seen since it got released and they announced those predictions. If you don't like something you can make respectful comments about it or whatever but when 50 people post the same childish crap, I think it's pretty evident.

eh. Taylor's more known in the general world for how she dates every guy that is popular at the time. Her music takes second place. She had like two or three actual hits off her last album. Like one #1. How the **** is this a slaying brand again?

Quote me again when Katy/Gaga/Rihanna etc. sell 1m again in the future, let alone 3 consecutive 1million+ debut weeks

Unfortunately this is what a lot of people know her for, but that's not true. She hasn't dated THAT many guys and she has written a song about how she is perceived by people who believe she's a serial dater: Blank Space.

Taylor is very popular because she's s very kind person, she's close to her fans and she writes songs that are relatable. She also has amazing promo because everytime she releases an album, she's everywhere.

So I agree with Agus, she IS a brand and she knows that.

AND MDNA is a good album, no need to call it a disaster. It might be one of Madonna's weakest efforts but let's talk when Gaga reaches he 12th album :rip:

To most people Taylor's lyrics would probably be more appealing simply because they are simple words people can understand. On the other hand, Gaga's lyrics tends to be more abstract and complex. They have double meanings, and they have artistic references. So in my opinion Gaga's work is more like poetry while Taylor's is more like telling a story. Gaga's lyrics just seem to have more work and thought put into them even if they are not appealing to most people. But still and for the most part, 1989 have poor lyrics compared to Taylor previous albums. And as a whole I still find ARTPOP better than 1989.

Look im sorry but maybe some people (obviously more people) find lyrics like

"So it's gonna be forever

Or it's gonna go down in flames
You can tell me when it's over
If the high was worth the pain
Got a long list of ex-lovers
They'll tell you I'm insane
'Cause you know I love the players
And you love the game"

More appealing than:

When you touch me I die
Just a little inside
I wonder if this could be love
This could be love
Cuz you’re out of this world
Galaxy, space and time
I wonder if this could be love

Venus

Have an oyster, baby
It’s Aphrod-isy
Act sleazy
Venus
Worship to the land
A girl from the planet (to the planet)
Venus

I used both track #2 from ARTPOP and 1989, Venus and Blank Space. The chorus to Venus is so short I had to include the 2nd verse. Now hearing it is one thing but people perceive music in different ways.. If you were to match ARTPOP up word for word next to 1989, 1989 would have utilized more words and more content, yet you say it's not on par? Sorry but I had to go there.

I actually think it's not that good of a pop album either, I would give it 6/10 :toofunny:

But I guess success+sales+promo is what matters so everyone are saying how great the album is..

Sorry to burst your bubble but Ultraviolence was released this year and is far superior.
