It's more of an inconvenience when I have to rush to a door or walk around someone, or wait for someone if I'm holding the door open for them. That is laughable and completely illogical even on a subconscious level.Anyone might hold open a door for anyone else because they think it's polite. A man might hold open a door for a women because they think they have to.Either way it's a societal obligation thrust upon people/men. Not hidden s-xism. I consider it a kind thing to do that I would appreciate if it were me.But hey, if people tell me what they don't want instead of secretly feeling I'm s-xist or whatever, I am more than willing to back off and oblige. If people really want "micro aggressive" in their view to stop, make it known in their own micro reactive way and people will know what they expect. However, to expect guys to just "know" or "get it" while feeling offended not only fails in communicating that expectation, but it also fails to get the message across of the kind of "equality" you're looking for. Of course, there are the chauvinist jerks out there, but you would not believe how many guys are trying to figure this stuff out to get along with the opposite s-x or having a successful date with one.And despite lists like this, people differ on what they expect, including females. It's not that women can't open the door for themselves, it's simply polite gesture. So, according to feminists, women shouldn't get flowers from men on International Women's Day either? There shouldn't even exist International Women's Day, because we are all the same. The day should be called International People Day lol.
