But they both faced extremely hideous and vulgar treatment. However as it stands right now it gay is the new black. People are more prone to attack gay people and be homophobic than they are to be racist. It is more socially accepted to gay bash and be homophobic than it is to be racist. There are no laws in the US that allows people to attack black people or be racist. However there are laws that allow gay bashing and homophobia. Get back to me when 13 year old boys are hung for being gay, when laws stop you from marrying a person you love because your gay, when you can get turned away from a restaurant or anywhere because you are gay, when your 8 your old son gets shot in the head in class for being gay, when your own country doesn't think you are equal to another human being. Gay people are suffering right now all over the world. Racism exists, but Gay bashing is practiced and accepted. Apparently so is ignorance ​THIS, THIS IS EVERYTHING.
